Well they have posters up in Harvey Norman saying that the Elite will be out by end of August.
I'll be grabbing an Elite simply for HDMI output. I need to plug something into my new TV in proper HD
I know component will do it too, but still. There's those HDMI slots just sitting there!
Plus it guarantees I'll get one with the new chip/fan thingy.

You will get a the new heatsink. Thats the bare minimum you can do better over the old Xbox. But Im considering it myself because I cant go without much longer. The new heatsinks are still unproven but maybe the resolve the issue. I hope so.

End of August? I doubt it, but I'd love to be proven wrong!  I mean America has had them for a few months already... argh I can't be stuffed, I don't need HDMI and I don't really need a 120 gig HDD, so I think I'll just get mine this week

haha yeah, fair call! I got my first 360 there, but it ended up being a pain missing out on every sale at local shops, and having to import every game.
