Errr.... Timeout here people and let's look at simple dollars and cents...

Using ODST to trade-in, you're 'buying' it for $68 and getting ~$97 credit at EB...

Now I'm pretty certain that you'll be able to get 3 trade bait games for far far less than $68 (~$23 a game!) and get $99 credit a JB for exchanging the copy of Batman you got with the 3-for-1 deal....

At the moment you can walk into any EB, without really hunting, for trade bait and pickup three $20 games for $60, $54 with EDGE... Smiley

No?

The game was just released today and already people are making plans to trade in large volumes of it. I dont know any other way to describe that other than it is incredibly selfish. I wont be able to get out until late Thursday night and Im anticipating there wont be any copies left at Big W by then. I sure hope Im wrong.

quoted:

"its possible to have just $54 investment, get 3 games from eb, go to jb get odst, go back to eb and trade odst for $95.70, get 3 games again, $41.70 left, jb again, get odst, trade it to eb thats $41.70, so do it a few more times, till you get to around $375 credit, it should be more than enough to get those 4 games lol..."

i hope someone tries that, then gets knocked back by eb when they realise you're (essentially) scamming them.

It's not a scam when they offer it? It's just a "loop hole"

But it would be hella annoying if you had that much "EB Credit"
10 games would cost you say $680 from BigW, then with EB Trade in you'll get $957 in credit.

So a profit of $277. But what are you going to spend it on? It's not like you can take it out in cash. This is assuming you purely do this for a profit and do not care about games.

Damm Just read that there is another loophole:

"In all states and territories except for NSW, ACT and WA, you can get cash for your games instead. You will get more value if you trade for store credit, but trading for cash is another option for you."

Lucky for you if you arent in NSW, ACT, WA!

The Asian release (region-free and includes english and other languages) is ~$60 AUD from Play-Asia the the moment. Cheaper than anywhere local unless you're doing some kind of trade-in deal.

I received my copy of ODST today from GAME with a month of free LIVE.

The trial card says: "The membership card must be redeemed by 30/06/2007"

Have I received a dud trial card?

I hope you're right because I've going on a trip in a few weeks and I didn't want to activate it while I was away.
