The crtically acclaimned Batman: Arkham Asylum finally arrives in Australia on September 3rd to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with both regular and limited editions.

Price round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track prices and trade in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity to share trade in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street dates and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent round-ups.

From what ive heard the Batarang is very cheap plastic... so if you want the Limited Edition just for that (like me) then dont worry about it

Whatever it is it's made out of, it feels alright; nice and bulky. We got a display Batarang to promote the game at some JB stores across the country, and the only problem I have with it is all the scratches all over it. Why did they make the rather dull decision to make it look "used"? >_>

Are there any places to get a good price on the games that Game accept for trade-ins?

Because looking at that list, I'm seeing a lot of recent/popular titles, so I'm wondering just how much you'll save in the end having to buy one of those on top of the $40 they want for the game.

I can't find anything on their site which says I get $80 credit for trading in a game on their Eligible list.  Can you be more specific?

Look at Goofers post. It says you get the game for $39.95 if you trade in one selected title. The RRP of the game is $119.95.

I might order it from thehut.com for GBP 35 (~AU$65) on PS3

sendit.com have it for GBP 38 on PS3 (only GBP 35 on 360)

cdwow.com.au is right up there at AU$82 on PS3

If you don't have a PS3 yet, Dick Smith have the PS3 for 499 + Batman: Arkham Asylum

I snapped pics of the poster in the window and posted about it here:

Likewise. I traded Wolverine, which I originally paid $78 for and completed twice. Thus I was ahead by $2.

Then today at university, there were "goodie" bags scattered around campus. This appealed to my frugal nature, so I picked one up. The bag contaiend a book of coupons, and to my delight, one coupon was a Game voucher for 20% off. Applied to the $150 collector's edition, the price would be reduced to $120. Subtract the $80 trade value, and I'll be left having to pay the remaining sum, a paltry $40. That's supposing Game honour the coupon, which I see no reason why they shouldn't.

Overall, I'd say that's pretty good. Not to mention that this game looks to be the diggity.

Edit: By the way, the university is Newcastle. So if anyone should be a student there, I'd suggest having a look for the goodie bags.
