I have to get every one for all my games - 1 (2.7%)
I try to get most of them for each game I play - 26 (70.3%)
I don't go out of my way to get them - 7 (18.9%)
I couldn't care less - 2 (5.4%)
I think it is a stupid idea - 1 (2.7%)

Yep, I do care about mine, I guess it's just my competitive nature in my coming out!

While I won't go completely out of my way or get a game I don't really want, I do try and get most of the achievements out of the games I buy. But I wont simply play a game to get an achievement - hence why I never finished Faycry 2's story mode. Despite plenty of achievements left to get, I couldn't bring myself to put up with more tiresome half hour journeys driving across the map just to complete a single mission.

I find I do try to get as many as possible in the games I have, and a game having Trophies on PS3 might sway me if I'm on the fence, but only because it provides another level of challenges and game-play that otherwise might go by without me experiencing, like GTA4 side quests, Uncharted using every weapon a certain number of times.  I especially like when they are linked to un-lockables, even if they are only artwork or behind the scene videos...
