Now that PlayStation Home is finally out for everyone, what do you think of it?

Personally, I like the idea of the whole service, but right now the implementation is poor.  Why should I have to wait for a virtual bowling alley to become free when I want to have a game, same as the arcade games in the alley.

If the EA sports complex is done well that will be great and if other companies start coming into Home or incorporating Home support in their games (Namco Museum Beta for example) then it will be a great thing.

What are your thoughts?

I think Home has potential, and I think the implementation is fine, but it's just dull. It needs to have more areas and more things to do before it becomes something special.

I have deleted it from my hard drive and I can't see me going back anytime soon - maybe when it comes out of beta.

Ah yes, home. I gave it a bash the other night and my first thoughts are that its pretty nifty. Thrashed a few people at chess and pool. Ran around looking at how idiotic the obviously hormonal male playstation users are, flocking to the few supposed female avatars.

As bumblybee said, it has potential but at the moment it is dull and ill be waiting until it becomes something a bit more than it is now. I know it's a beta but still.

I tried it a few weeks back, unfortunately being on 512k it's just a pain to take ages to load just to go to different places from it. Hopefully when I get a faster connection, it would be a lot more interactive. Smiley

Tried the Red Bull Air Race out the other day, was actually quite fun, for a free game.  If the add leaderboards and more routes then it'll be great.  The farcry 2 space is also out and I tried it, not so good.  Has one game that I saw (mancala) which no-one was playing... a great little game if you learn how to play, some info on characters in the game and a map of the game world.  Probably be ok if you have the game and want to emerse yourself, but if not, very meh.  More things like the Red Bull Air Race however, home will become a real place to hang out.
