I've quiezzed 2K Games in Australia about whether or not we could get an exclusive Q&A done (basically an interview by email) with 2K Marin who are doing BioShock on the PS3. Given how were a rather small Australian website I dont expect too much in the way of huge news. Although given we know practically nothing about 2K Marin it might be interesting to see what we can get out of them.

You can read pretty much all of the information on them here:

The local PR manager for 2K said she would put the questions through though she didnt know the chances of them getting answered.

Regardless though, what are some questions specific to this new team and BioShock PS3 would you like to ask?

Well that wouldnt be a question for 2K Marin Tongue

Things like

- What kind of pressure was there when working with a AAA title port?
- What sort of tempting changes to the original went through your collective heads while working on the game?
- Have you had much time to work on any other projects and now that BioShock is done with will you finally be focusing on something original?
etc

If thePS3 version is to be the definitive version of this game, and I'd like to know if they started out with the intention of including extra content and selling it as a full price game, or whether that was something that just happened along the way.

I'd like to know what was the biggest challenge they faced with moving the game to the PS3.

P.S.

I'd also like to know if there is to be a Wii version in a year from now... Hmmm... on second thought, don't ask I think I know the answer to this one.

This is what I have so far. If any could be worded better to be more comprehensive or theres some good ones I missed let me know:

1)Just briefly, how did the 2K Marin team initially come-about and get tasked with porting BioShock to the PS3?
2)The 2K Boston and 2K Australia developer dynamic is rather unique and interesting. How does the 2K Marin team fit into it and for those that worked at these other two studios, is 2K Marin all that different?
3)What sort of challenges and pressures were there while developing the port?
4)What extras can PS3 owners expect to experience?
5)Was the PS3 port started with the intention of having extra content? Why was it ultimately decided to add the extras?
6)Was there any temptations to take the alterations further? Any popular ideas floating around the office that were rejected?
7)Was it fun for team members who helped developed BioShock to revisit it with porting it to PS3?
8)Has the team had much time to work on other projects other than the PS3 port?
9)What style of games can we expect 2K Marin to become known for?
10)How does the future look for 2K Marin? Are your next moves definitively planned?
