Trading in UK versions of Games

I haven't done any trading myself, so I wanted to check with you guys. I was wondering if I could buy some games from the UK (specifically for the Wii, but shouldn't matter) and later trade them in at places like EB and JB HiFi? I saw the UK versions of some Xbox 360 games at one EB while I was on holidays, so I would be inclined to think you could. The main reason I think it may not work is the lack of an OFLC rating on the box...dunno though. I very much doubt I'd actually want to trade in most games, but if I finish a SP one and am sure I don't want to play it again I may use it for the trade in offers for new games.

It depends really on who you are dealing with at the counter. When I went to trade in games for Crisis Core the employee wouldn't even take games that were released in Australia as UK games with stickers over the PEGI ratings (such as Lumines 2) whereas some employees will let you trade in UK/US/JPN region games. If its UK then it should generally be fine since a few publishers ship UK games to Australia, and US versions of DS/PSP/PS3 games should also be fine since theres no region lockout. 360 games are hit and miss with region lockout though, and I doubt every single store has Play-Asia's list of regional compatibility to fall back on so maybe stick to trading in PAL versions only of 360 games.

Thanks! I truly hope Nintendo gets it right with its next console and makes it region free. Just sick of the usual insane prices and (occasional) waits.
BTW, have you got the chance to try the region free part of GeckoOS? Apparently it has a 99% success rate ATM...appealing. Only thing stopping me currently is the lack of Zelda: TP.

GeckoOS I have tried, but only have SSBB to test it on. I can confirm it boots Brawl.
I've traded in a US game at my EB and nobody raised an eyebrow, probably because you wouldn't pick that Ridge Racer DS was a US game unless you specifically looked at the text on the back saying "NOT TO BE SOLD OUTSIDE OF THE US".
