Let battle commence. Tomorrow sees the release of EA/DICE's much hyped Battlefield 3. A big title so we should expect to see a fair bit of competition from the retailers.

Price round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track prices and trade-in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity to share trade-in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street dates and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent round-ups

Remember that GAME has run out of preorder codes, so if you're only ordering now, you'll just get the "free" paintball, not SPECACT or dogtags. $98 for limited edition, 360 or PS3, so not really great.

ok so australian retail versions from online stores you can get it from..

and mightyape have it for $69 aswell, that seems to be the limit for the local version from what i can see.

with 360 and PS3 Mightyape were giving a free copy for battlefield 2 (not sure what they were talking about, it was probably bad company 2, cause 1942 seems abit odd), but i think they ran out, but the prices are at $79 for the Limited Editions

and mightyape do price match, which is awesome.

These are the only 2 websites that I can confirm sell local versions (with mighty ape they will tell you under the add to trolly button if its an import), if anyone else knows of any other websites, please let us know.

Maybe they really were giving away BF2 - BF2:Modern Combat is indeed available on the 360.  I think EA shut down the servers a while back though.

JB 3 for 1 is on or not?

Was recently at JB over the weekend Charlie, and I didn't see the "Trade 3 get this game free" yellow stickers on Battlefield 3.

They're still doing 3-for-1 for Arkham City, even though it is not advertised in their latest catalogue.

Didn't see it either - didn't want the game myself was more surprised at the lack of the deal from JB.

This is the first 'big release' that JB have not done the deal for in a very long time.

I'm now very interested to see whether JB will do trade-in deals for the other upcoming big games like Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Modern Warfare 3. I'd likely only get UC3 and Skyrim anyway, and even more likely to just wait until next year when the prices drop and when we get the GOTY editions!

Still curious to see whether there are 3-for-1s at JB for these games.

A fool at Harv Norm priced matched against Big W normal edition.
I used a pic of that receipt to get EB to do it.
Now several have used my EB rec to get $68
