Play out the events leading up to the famous Deus Ex in Human Revolution, due for release here on Thursday 25th.

Price round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track prices and trade-in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity to share trade-in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street dates and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent round-ups.

Been wanting to find a cheap deal on Deus Ex: HR and might now consider doing the 3 for 1 trade in deal at JB... Though no doubt that won't be able to nab be the Augmented Edition.

Has anyone ever bought in-store at JB three trade baits then asked to trade them in for the game immediately after within the same time-frame at the store? They don't refuse or anything like that, do they?

You are a braver man than me. I'm expecting an exclusion list update the likes of which even God has never seen.

No new 3-for-1 list on JB Hi-Fi's website yet. In fact, there aren't any games listed on their 3-for-1 page at the moment, so I'm guessing they're updating it.

I, too, believe, they're going to have a massive update of their exclusions list. Let us know how you go monkeyd93.

lol i was tempted to buy up a few extra copies, couldnt help but fear that they'd be added onto the exclusion list, not to mention i have a few trade baits i got from the Eb sale earlier i need to get rid of first.
Guess we will see the fallout of the trade exclusions in the coming days.

Well, I'm just back from my JB trip and was successful in trading 3 games for Deus Ex Human Revolution pre-order.

The game I traded were: Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero World Tour (bought for $2 each at Cashies) and BlazBlue CT (bought for $15 from Cashies or EB ages ago). When I traded Guitar Heroes, the guy at the register did say they were excluded on the system (in fact all of Guitar Heroes are), so he had to put them through as Open SKUs for them to go through.

He also mentioned that everyone who buys Deus Ex HR will get the DLC codes for the Weapon and Mission until they run out of codes to give.

So glad I got Deus Ex for a grand total of $19, cheapest I ever got a new release on Day 1.

Nice, but I thought JB were uber strict with what could be traded in...if it was on their Exclusion List, it's an absolute no.

Which JB did you go to Shadowblade?

I went to JB DVDs and Games around the corner from Elizabeth Street in Melbourne. The problem was is that on their website Exclusion List it wasn't listed, but on the system it was...

Someone on the website made a big boo boo by linking THIS list:

http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/excluded-games.pdf

Instead of this one:

Check out the amazing difference 5 pages of trade bait can make  Cheesy Grin Wink

I noticed that too. At first I thought they culled some titles off the list but then remembered this is JB we're talking about. So are they going by the actual exclusion list from their system, or is their system also going by the mistake of the older exclusion list which is listed on the website at the moment?

Well when I was there, the guy pointed out to me as he scanned the games that they are excluded at which point I told him to check their own exclusion list on the website. His face when he checked that list was priceless.

He had to call over his boss, who just said to put the games through as Open SKU (which the guy also questioned and said that Open SKU is also excluded from 3-for-1 deals.) After about 5 mins of faffing about between the trade in guy and the register, I walked out of the store with my pre-order receipt.
