Ecogamer has totally changed my buying habits and my gaming habits.. Both for the good and bad.

The good
- I get games for a good $30 or $40 cheeper then what I use to.
- I can aford to buy more.

The bad:
- I buy more.
- I somtimes play through a game quickly, not because im loving it but to get the best trade deal.
- Ill now buy somthing I want to try instead of just hiring it ( another one for the pile of shame)
- Im sure my local EB and JB store know me as the guy who is not good for business.

I like how gaming evolved. from buying old school cartridges/DVDs with no dlc to now blueray and DLC and online pass. plus i like the trend of trading... it has changed my status as a mortal teenage boy into a god of gamming. in these 4 years at ecogamer is there any thread that was as hit as my insites?

now i get to play way more games then i used to since i can practically play for free. but yea i get stared down every time i walk into an EB or JB.

anthony greatsite but i prefer the old look of the red and white instead of this unchartered wooden crate/treasure map look.

I've saved a bunch of money thanks to Ecogamer. Unfortunately I purchase more than I should because I can afford it. I like the fact that we are small community.

Bargains have been decent this year for me thankfully as I absolutely loathe Australian RRP for games, I think it is downright criminal for standard edition new releases to be $109.

Also not a big fan of paid DLC unless they are decent in length and content.

The visual upgrade to the site is cool. Congrats guys.

I have enjoyed being a member of the Ecogamer community, having chanced upon it about...1.5 or 2 years ago? I've only really been coming here regularly in the past 8 to 9 months I think. It has been a fantastic place for me to scour information for bargains and the latest price comparisons.

I'm with Aquil0, videogamer and Kriminy: I have saved a lot, but consequently because of lower game prices, I have spent a lot. Overall, I think I have spent MORE because I keep looking for bargains now, regardless of whether I really wanted a game or not! All too often I've purchased a game because it's cheap and I *think* I would enjoy playing it, rather than buying it because I really wanted it.

But it's all good. Smiley Like videogamer, I loathe Australian RRP for games and over $100 for a standard edition of a game is a painful price to pay. I do find myself paying that on occasion, but really only when I have store credit and I'd rather use that store credit than proper money to pay.

I love this community and the way everyone shares information!

I had a feeling that most of the long timers would in fact be spending more on account of the site Cheesy Wouldn't it be interesting to have a record of it to know exactly how much (*hint at future)?

Awww yeah, let's celebrate by sitting pantless on our computers and posting bargains.

Anthony,

To take the site to the next level, you should consider integrating the GameCafe price lists somehow.  I think that would be awesome!

So that under L.A. Noire, you could have something like this:

http://www.gamecafe.com.au/GamePrices.aspx?p=All&Search=la%20noire

There is an API which allows you to query the database and return results in XML format.
