How good is wii fit as a daily aerobic fitness routine?
I would like to spend a bit on home fitness. The toss up is between a wii + wii fit and a $300 treadmill. How has your experience been for aerobic routines with wii fit?

I will pity your ankles and knees on a $300 treadmill.
While the Wii Fit isn't a "proper" exercise regime, it is a bit of fun while burning some calories.

I (sporadically) use both, and an exercise bike.

A treadmill won't damage your knees and ankles if you use it sensibly [brisk walking is great; jogging = joint damage] though the Wii has fitness programs to really get you panting - definitly at least as rigorously as a treadmill would be, and also with more variety. Couple that with the exercise training routines, weight monitoring and nutrition advice, and the Wii is a winner.

Only thing I'd say is: whether it comes with Wiifit or not, get a $30 copy of Wii's The Biggest Loser, it's probably twice better than Wiifit is [assuming weight loss is a goal - though even if it's not, they have general workout routines with an emphasis on fitness].

It's pretty good, but EA sports active 2 is a better title imo. Wii fit extensively covers floor exercises, which are great, but EA sports active has set programs which are a lot better, as well as exercises involving resistance bands or dumbells.
