It certainly doesn't make sense...I wonder if the general public expects people to start going around trying to rip someone's head off with the spinal cord intact. Let's not open up the can of worms about "why ban this game instead of banning the real shooting ones" lest someone point out that the Russian airport sequence in CoD:MW2 was to blame for the events happening in real life.

Intro: What I think is that the box60 is holding the gameing industry back and also for some reason society is being pro box360 rasist againt the ps3.

Chapter 1: the rasisum:

i go to EB they have 6x xbox360 set up with different games running, so uneducated mothers will go... 'oh this is fun lets buy this". why not set up 3x xbox and 3 x ps3?

i do to dick smith and they have a kinect set up in the shop window so people can play it from OUTSIDE the shop! what the F***!!!!! thats cheating! it's not their shop space that they leased but they are promoting the xbox from the street?!?!? wtf?!!? also inside the shop is another kiniect hooked up to a TV they are trying to sell.... and it's a Sony bravia TV!!! wtf! why can't they put a ps move in!!

BigW later advent calandar sale.... 3 xbox exclusive days and 1 nintendo exclusive day.... sony 0 exclusive wtf!!

Xbox always have more shelf space in a kmart/big w store.

Chapter 2: the downfall of the gaming industry:

Xbox has 10 year old DVD technology + thier machine is not as powerful... thats why on ps3 the exclusive games looks so much better then multiplatforms.

things like metal gear solid 4, GT5 will not fit in xbox DVD.

final fantasy 13.... the developers said they took some content on to save disc space.... u know why? cos after making the graphics for the xbox version not HD they JUST managed to fit it into 3 DVDs.... even then still had to cut content. and we all know how much more memory it takes to have non HD videos turned into HD. so if they made all HD like the ps3 + un-cut content i think it'll be like 5 dvds.....

ian this one's for you. you know why humantorch is not in MvC3? cos the xbox can't handle the constant partical movements that the human torch needed.

so many games want to be bigger but they are restricted to 1 DVD.

Also developers like coding to things that are simular to PC, so they always choose Xbox to be lead console to make...

This ones for you snukie.... you know why Blackops map come 1 month after xbox? cos Microsoft pay for exclusitivity... so they can't rely on they console to be better... they dump $ to disadvantages the competition! that is just dirty! and stops others having fun whiles doesn't IMPROVE the enjoyment for xbox players. why not do something to increase the enjoyness of your own ppl instead of disadvantagous the competition.

so the combinationus of xbox companies being the evilings and the community public support evilising the world they attack the ps3 with rasisum and destroy the games job industry and qualitying the life from the evil xbox.

Conclusion: yes i dont like the xbox.

I still haven't played the campaign.

As for in store displays etc...has almost nothing to do with Big W, DSE etc.
Microsoft simply have a better marketing department than Sony.

Sony do suck at marketing.
The PS Move roll out was piss poor.

As for console wars, I could care less what anyone plays.
We all have our reasons for what we chose.

I chose PS3 because I heard about this guy in Darwin that was on it.


It will be interesting to see if the Mortal Kombat demo for PS+ members is ready to download for Aus people today/tomorrow as it is due.

i choose ps3 cos it was more powerful and uses 2010 bluray technology not 2000 DVD tech

and you wana know why MK really got banned? cos Kratos is in it! which gives ps3 version advantage so that was a no go. then the "violence, sexual refferenes, homosexual, drug abuse, beatiality" stuff got made up by the board and the game was baned...

Mass effect 1/2, fable 3, halo, Forza 3 all have homo content in it and it's not banned... why? cos it's xbox exclusive. (inmass effects case there beastiality too)

Well no surprise, Aus PS+ members are not offered the Mortal Kombat Demo,
I went back and looked at the original blog entry and noticed that "AU" is not one of the countries it is addressing.

check out kotaku.com, MK apeal in aus unsuccessful, cos Sony refused to remove Kratos to make it fair to xbox so they rejected the appeal.

I had an instieful dream last night of me importing the MK. what you can do is strap the game to your body, cos on boarder security they always just search your luggage when your declaring your goods. and the only search they do on you is the sniffa dawg. (unless they found something in the luggage or you act real sus then they strip search you.) the good thing is that even if they sniffa dawg  or swipe your body and put the strip in the machine the drug readings wont go too/dawg won't bark.

alternatively you can order the Kollectors edition with the arcade stick, and ask the guy to put the disc in the secret cabinet under the arcade stick then just send the arcade stick ova.

so unless the train the dawg to sniff for the instruction booklet smell or the swob machine picks up jet printer ink particles you should be save from customs by strapping the game on your body.

or you can take the disc out, put it in a small JB-Hifi plastic bag, turn the disc virtically and insert it inside you. if bag busrt at least you won't OD.

suze: I think either scenario is still a Fail scenario. Way too much effort to get the game as well! We're talking about spending even MORE money going overseas to get the game. Good try though.

Hi Guys,

I've got BOTH version of MK from The HUT...was around $48 AUD each.

Now for 360 here's the trick to get online...

First notice WHICH region your game from. I got the PAL one...so based on that I used one my hotmail accounts and set the region to UK. Once I booted up 360 went to recover gamertag....used that NEW hotmail account and set my region to UK and put some fake UK address there(let google maps get you one at random). Went through the process and created a silver account. Then I went to redeem code and used the supplied online pass XBL code....and it will download that pass file(100kb).

If you try to download or try to buy the pass using your AUS account you'll get an error....so you will need to do the above to get the pass. Anyway once you got the pass just switch back to your normal AUS profile and you'll be able to play online

For Ps3....at the time of writing the online pass is not required but it will be once PSN comes back. But I don't know if the above 360 trick can be used or not. Just to be on the safe side I'll use it on my US account...I'll update once I've done it.
