Your choice quackster, but I think pride is inconsequential when trying to get an awesome bargain.

Here's an insight for all of you, but you might need to move quick because things can change very quickly.
$14.88 + $14.88 + $7 = $36.76
The $7 game is not in the JB system. it's open sku and some stores dont allow it i tryed since i have that $7 game.

I have had no problems trading that game in, have a couple of times now.
It is listed properly in JB's system and isn't open sku. Have receipts if anyone needs them.

Here's an insight for all of you, but you might need to move quick because things can change very quickly.
As it has been "advertised" in the forums and in the chat box, Target are selling some Move games for $14.88. I've managed to find three different Move games at that price that aren't on the JB Hi-Fi Exclusion list. Not sure you'll be able to buy online, your best bet is to go to a nearby Target store. They should have heaps of these Move games.
Game is selling a game BRAND NEW for just $7, both online and in-store, but you might want to go in-store to pick it up. This game, to my surprise, and to the surprise of some JB employees, is NOT on the JB Exclusion list.
$14.88 + $14.88 + $7 = $36.76
If you don't get UC3 special edition (or if JB has run out of stock), it's still superb value trading for a $89 game, or even one of JB's cheaper $69 games that you can get 3-for-1.
Good luck guys! Do it fast before JB chuck these games onto the exclusion list.
Note: If we could please refrain from openly naming what the games are, since we want them to remain off the exclusion list as long as possible!
Guys, don't bother with this. I checked with JB this morning and ALL 3-for-1 deals have stopped. The only trade-in deal they have at the moment is the one for Modern Warfare 3. I asked if they were going to bring back more 3-for-1 deals, but three of the game staff were certain there were not going to be any more 3-for-1 deals for the year. Also reflected on their trade-ins page only MW3 is available for a trade-in deal. Bummer.

You are right Ian. I also got the same info from their staff. All this trade baiting and returning for full credit/refund has finally caused enough damage.
The landscape have changed, no jb hifi trade 3 deal, ebworld to catch serial traders and returners, Game with their Game On 2% discount. Tragedy of the Common has finally struck us all!!
The best positive: No one will ever tell us they made gazillion dollars from trades, I am happy to pay for my games just for that.

The hunt for tradebait has stopped for 2011. Who knows if JB will bring back 3-for-1 trade deals in the new year. No need for a large exclusion list when they can just go with 1-for-1 trade deals (like the one they have currently for Modern Warfare 3) and post up a fixed list of games that can be traded in. Honestly, If I were in their shoes, I'd do this because it's much simpler, cleaner and more effective, and you don't have to keep updating that crazy massive exclusion list. They could still accept all games traded in, just not for those 3-for-1 deals.
The other potential positive, if the rumours are true from the financial sector, is that standard prices of games may drop to $60-70...was supposed to happen before the end of the year but still hasn't happened yet.

what is this insite you speak of ian? yes the suicine movement (ideologicals of playing free games as per my very first post here) is under fret! however, you can not stop the suicine as there is a suicine in all of us. what i did was got 5 infamous 2's then got 5 copies of MW3, i just approached kids outside GAME/EB and sold to them for $70. made $24x5=$125. now if JB extends their 1-4-1 to many new games I can see a new age.... The age of free rentals. play the newest games, you have about 1 month to trade for the newer one for free. also if they include lots of games in there 1-4-1 there is bound to be a cheap one here and there (infamous) it is then that we pounce and score that creditz! EB world/GAME on no worries. never give up boiz n gurls you've been sined out

I can see JB being really tight on their 1-4-1s though if they stick to that.

suze: Not an actual insight and I honestly can't remember where I first read or heard it from. This was about 2 months ago where there was mention that due to the strength of the Aussie dollar, and the fact that people were importing games from overseas, the standard prices of games could drop to $60-70 per game in Australian retail outlets.
I'm struggling to remember where I read this or first heard of it though...it could very well be from Ecogamer!
I agree with quackster, I think if JB continue their 1-for-1s (and discontinue their 3-for-1s), they will be extremely vigilant about what games can be traded. Infamous 2 being on the list was a clear oversight and to be fair, they may not have had the time to do their research that Infamous 2 was selling at such a cheap price at a competitor's store!
Nice profit suze, and not that I want to nitpick, but I'm wondering how those kids were able to trade Infamous 2 for Modern Warfare 3 at JB, given that they need to have been 18 to be able to trade-in games at JB? Perhaps they got their parents to do it for them.

It's tax free brother! you can argue that it is a windfall gain and if you can prove this is not your normal revenue stream. then it's a meer windfall gain (like winning in the casino) and therfore not income ? for tax purposes. I'll be giving insite to tax wisdom soon lol. you've been sined out. who wan'ts to play MW3 with me?
