How can i transform My PC into a gaming console?

I have no money at this time.Can Anyone tell me what is the difference between PC gaming And Console gaming,What are the advantages & disadvantages of gaming consoles or how can i transform my pc into a gaming console?

To run games in high detail all you need is a decent graphics card.
Depending on your screen resolution it could cost between $50-$150.
That is of course assuming you have a Core2 Duo or AM2 processor and at least 2gb of RAM.

The differences between PC and console gaming is that PC gaming doesn't do cinematic gameplay well, has many broken ports, is plagued by piracy and most developers don't support it, all games for it are made in the West and not Japan.
However, PC games can be modded, the online is brilliant and free, the indie scene is alive and thriving, and there are those developers that still support the PC platform like Valve and Blizzard.

Also, if you are getting into PC gaming, you'll definitely want a Steam account.  Games can go as low as $2 on some of the sales.

PC - greater clan support (imo), higher end PCs tend to run games at higher detail than console counterparts, less screaming 12 year olds
