The previously 360-exclusive add-on, GTA - Episodes from Liberty City, will be released for PS3 and PC tomorrow. GTA-ELC includes both pieces of DLC - The Lost and the Damned; and, The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Price round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track  prices and trade in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity  to share trade in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street  dates and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent  round-ups.

GAME - $59 (online)
JB - PS3 $68 / PC $48
EB - PS3 $68 / PC $48
Big W - $58
PSN - $TBA

Any consensus about whether to download or buy the disc? Is there an advantage/disadvantage either way?

My guess would be 27.95 to 29.95 (even though it should be 22bucks). I'm using Wipeout HD, Warhawk and Tekken 5 as a guide when comparing the US and Aussie PSN's.

Also thanks for the thread clawster. I'm curious as for any cheap US versions of the game as i hear the PAL PS3 version is censored , or are all PS3 versions censored?

Also for those that want it 365games has the PS3 version for 44.70 with the usual free postage.

If you can wait I feel the price will drop fast.

Historically, software that come late to the PS sells poorly; the JRPGS, Bioshock, etc

If that's the case, then you're better off buying off the PSN as you can share the download with 4 other people, effectively reducing the cost to one fifth of the original purchase price.

If you buy the PSN version all the songs and TV shows from Gay Tony and Lost and the Dammed go to the main game (and the DLC) giving you a total of over 300 songs in all 3 games.

If you buy the disc version (Episodes from Liberty City) you can't do that. Having said that the disc version has 50 extra songs exclusive to the retail version that you can't get anywhere else for a total of over 150 songs.

I will be buying the disc version as my copy of GTA4 is US NTSC.

I should mention that 27.95 to 29.95 each (its 20usd each on the American PSN). So it could be 60bucks all up on the Aussie PSN.

60 bucks divided by 5 is about 12 bucks, so still cheap as.

Yes it is. But i try to stay away from Digital Downloads when there is a disc version available.

A couple reasons

-My PS3 stuffed up and i lost one of my liscenes
-If you share with 5 people and you get YLOD then you lose it forever, unless you convice one of your friends to deativate it on their PS3.
-You never own Digital content
-The disc is yours forever
-I don't like PSN sharing with anyone
-What if Sony cracks down on it and changes the ToS?

I would do what your doing if it wasn't for the 5 PS3 activation limit. It's the same reason i avoid PC games with similar DRM.

What do you mean you never own digital content? I love my discs as well, but surely if you never actually delete a DLC it remains yours?

I guess what i'm saying is what if Sony/Valve goes backrupt and shuts down PSN/Steam?

It's US$30 on Steam for the standalone PC DLC. Might be the way to go if you have a decent PC.
