oh for fark's sake, why does no one get this idea?

go to EB and ask them to trade match JB's 3-for-1 offer for FFXIII (even better, get a JB catalogue or print the offer out) and then you can trade the xbox 360 games for the PS3 version (EB don't care which games are traded, as long as the games aren't on the exclusion list).

Tried to do that just 40 minutes ago (EB to match JB's deal). They said the cost of FF XIII exceeds the combined trade in value and they refused to follow through with the deal.

Just went and picked up my pre-ordered copy from EB games, price matching with Kmart for $82.
The woman behind the counter refused to give me the calendar for pre-ordering, just because I price matched another store.

Is this common practice?

Their website states "preorder FFXIII to receive an exclusive calender", which I did. Probably has something to do with the "*conditions apply. Cannot be combined with any other offer" part of the promotion.  Angry

I try to get EB or GAME to do this in Sydney and no EB/GAME store will match the 3 for 1 deal.

Maybe try printing the EB Game Match any trade deal and take this into store if they are dumb enough not to know their own deals they offer.

Tried this before. They refused. I tried the Sydney Galleries one and the one on George Street.

I doubt it, they said they would price match not deal match. You cant expect them to take 3 copys of perfect dark zero worth 5bucks each for a 110 dollar game

The guy at my JB allowed me to do a trade in for the PS3 version of FF13 and not the 360 version Smiley
