Hey guys, I thought that I might ask you fellow EcoGamers what current games you are playing at the moment. Can be any game on any console!
I personally am playing Assassin's Creed 1 and soon will be playing Assassin's Creed 2 but I do occasionally like a bit of Modern Warfare 2 or Fifa 10 online:)
So, What are you playing?

Hi I'm currently playing Darksiders. Probably be finishing up soon, and will get back to Dragon Age Origins, before starting 2nd playthru of Bayonetta, on hard mode. If enjoy AC1, then u'll be in for a real treat for AC2, its leaps n bounds better than AC1.

Haha yeah man I loved AC1. The freeroam feel of it just makes it so good to play! I've heard good stuff about AC2 as well. Can't wait to play it!

Dragon age is quite good. To be honest, I thought the graphics were pretty bad for a next-g game, and I'm not a fan of the battle system. But the story is so engaging and keeps me wanting to play on to see what happens.
Bayonetta is kinda like a title people probably either love or hate. Its full of over-the-top characters, cheesy lines, a messy/laughable plot, and J-popish music dominates the soundtrack, but does have a few orchestral pieces for the bosses and some enemy encounters. Of course, all of these work well for me, except for the messy plot, but then very few action games (except GOW) have good plots anyway.
However, almost everyone that played it will agree (even haters) that it has one of the best combat systems ever developed for an action game. The combat system is extremely variable, u can play as a button masher on very easy or easy levels, or u can develop and execute extremely co-ordinated and satisfying combos on normal and hard modes. There's an unbelievable amount of weapon combinations, since u can select to arm different pairs of weapons on ur hands and on ur heels, and can select between 2 sets in realtime during battle, at the touch of a button. Plus, u can shapeshift into animals, one of which has attacks u can use to chain up ur combos. Upon successfully dodging enemy attacks just before they hit u, u can activate witchtime, which puts enemies in slow motion. Plus u have various magic items enabling u to perform different tricks during battle.
All of these features all add up to give u an amazing combat system with an incredible amount of depth. Despite its minor flaws, I absolutely love this game, as much as I like God of War 1.
Btw, play the 360 version, as the ps3 port, while still playable, is fairly crippled.

Ahh both Dragon Age and Bayonetta both interest me, but I'm not a big fan of the whole "J-RPG" genre. Might give it a rent though. In the next few weeks, I'm gonna be picking up the Saboteur and maybe Left 4 Dead 2 so it should be good!

But neither of them are J-RPGs. Dragon Age is western RPG, and Bayonetta is J-action game. But I'm guessing what u mean is the similarity of Bayonetta with J-RPGs (over the top characters, cheesy dialogue, wacky music, etc) But yeah, u might wanna give Bayonetta a rent, or buy it from EB so u can return it if u don't like it. I think Kmart is currently cheapest, $78.

Yeah, I might just download the Bayonetta Demo and see how it goes. It's just yeah, the wacky music and the dialogues Not really used to them nor RPG's in general (Except for Borderlands, but you culd classify that as a RPS- Role Playing Shooter.)

No matter what else I play at the moment, 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand, I keep going back to playing MP on MW2... Just so enjoyable... Anyway, 50 Cent: BoTS is awesome, I'm playing through it on Hard so achievements stack and it is quite challenging... It's quite fun though linear, but thoroughly enjoying it and plan on heading back to finish it off and get my GS!

Lately it's been Modern Warfare (360) online multiplayer. I have MW2 as well but I play this as my best mate doesn't and we don't have many titles in common that we can actually play online. I blame him for that though as he only buys 3 games a year and myself as I buy too many! Plus there's still plenty of players online for it as well so I haven't felt the need to start playing MW2...not just yet anyway. Also started Prince Of Persia but I'm having a difficult time getting into it. Which is disappointing because I really enjoyed the previous titles, particularly Sands Of Time on the old Xbox. Other games include Shadow Complex which I'm getting through very slowly and Peggle still gets a good run, particularly when my girlfriend is around. Nothing on the Wii at the moment. Anyway, 50 Cent: BoTS is awesome, I'm playing through it on Hard so achievements stack and it is quite challenging... It's quite fun though linear, but thoroughly enjoying it and plan on heading back to finish it off and get my GS! May have to get this eventually as I've seen this game come up on a few "underrated" games thread.

ah thanks for the review, haha. yeah, I'm pretty much a sucker for cheezy characters (most of my game collection are RPG's ). the trailer kind of reminded me of suikoden 5 for some strange reason. even though I know it's not an RPG.

Anyone got the Uncut Version of Left 4 Dead 2? Do you reckon it is worth getting or should I get the Saboteur or Army of Two: 40th Day?
