Has any one got physical proof of these deals to price match with. I want to get it at the midnight launch but I'm not paying EB's $120 or whatever for the standard ed.

I was in my EB at Morayfield and they had one of those little handout things they give out. It had the trade values for each week after launch. Trade it within the first week and it would be worth $95. I did not collect any of these handouts however I will try to get 1 tomorrow and scan it.
thank you thats exactly what im after, i would go up and get one myself but im kinda locked up atm Uni exams.

JB selling standard for $82, hardened for $99 and prestige for $189 (According to a guy I spoke to today) And I asked about Kmart price matching, they said they can match $79.

so hypothetically i could walk into eb with 4 copies of modern warfare 2 (1 from trade 3 get free deal, 3 from $79 purchases) and get 4 x $95 credit = $380 Therefore getting $380 credit from $237 an extra $120 to get me a PS3 taking my total spent to $357 for a PS3.
EDIT: or you can hand in 5 copies of MW2 (2 from trade 3 get free deals, 3 from $79 purchases) to get $475 credit from $240. extra $25 for a PS3. Total cost $265 for PS3. now lets just hope it works.. is there any limit to how many of the same game you can trade in? if it doesn't specify then this should work.
2nd EDIT: Don't forget the edge card! 10% extra credit giving you $522.50 instead of $475 from $240.

Don't forget if you have an edge card you can get an extra 10% bringing the total to $104.50 for each copy.

and if you trade in 3 sets of 3 games for 3 copies of Modern Warfare 2 and take it to ebgames (ontop of 2 copies picked up at Kmart for a total of $160 [with staff discount $150] with the EDGE card you recieve $522.50 from $150. Another option is to use any games you've got at home not on exclusion list as well as Trade Bait from EB Games to make up 5 x 3 games. to trade in at JB for 5 MWF 2 games. If you have 3 sets of 3 games you can trade in from home plus 2 sets of 3 games from trade bait ( http://www.ecogamer.com/forums/topic,1274.0/) you could trade it in at JB for 5 copies of MWF 2 (at different stores if things are suss) Thus ultimately getting you $522.50 credit from what you paid for trade bait ($120)

Because EB only gives store credit for these special offers trade ins... can I purchase gift cards using the store credit?

In the past they gave me the money in gift cards (think it was GTA4 I traded in). Anyway you could keep price matching and selling back and gain $20 store credit each time I guess as long as they don't catch on. Might help if you have a few stores local so you can rotate it.

if you have a friend or two that could do some of the trading for you you could maybe get away with trading at the same store otherwise move around a bit

Yeah I was always hesitant because it'd still mean taking cash I have and getting EB credit in return which generally isn't much use to me since I tend to buy online more often than not now days anyway.

Can't you get 20% less back in money? Or choose to take a gift card and turn that into cash minus 20% on another day?

Somewhere I read that you can only trade one (or maybe two) of the same title on the same Edge card. i.e. No matter what store you go to they can see that you traded MW2 four times in the last few days and wont let you do it again. Is this true?
I've never tried these things before but with the help of this site I just might. So Kmart is the cheapest find so far - in person
