Anyone here into Exergaming?

I opened my EA Sports Active (Wii) last night and played it for a good 20 minutes - really broke a sweat. I'm totally looking forward to doing the game's 30-day-challenge. It REALLY is exercise, not like Wii Fit which is just a novelty type game.

Before I would jog for about 20 minutes a day (2km) as daily exercise, but since now it's Winter its too cold/dark later at night which is why I looked for an alternative.

Who else here plays games for the exercise value? DDR?

I used to sweat to DDR Mario Mix. But I hated the interface and other things. Eventually sold it for more than I bought it.

Im not into exergaming, but really just in general the idea of new ways to play games. I like the Wii, I like my Guitar Hero bundle, my joystick, games that use voice control, etc, etc. Problem with DDR also was setting up that mat and finding space for 1-2 of them.

Does EA Sports break as much a sweat as DDR does?

EA Sports Active is just a 30-minute routine with different exercises (some cardio, some muscle training). You can choose to take breaks inbetween routines if you so wish, but if you go from 1 to the next non-stop, yes, my sweat was just dripping onto my Wii Balance Board (i was scared it would short-circuit)
