Hey guys. On the 2/1 i decided to buy Midnight Club LA, so i popped in to JB to check out their deals. Some of the games seem to be on sale, with a green price sticker covering the actual price sticker, including MCLA, which cost 79. I decided to do something stupid - take off the 79 sticker and replace it with 59(off some other game). As i came up to the counter, i told the worker to check the price, since i claimed that the copy i got had 59 on it while others had 79. The guy told me that whatever it says on the game is how much it is, so i got my copy for 59 Cheesy

Why didn't you just peal off the security tag and sneak out the door.

I mean, what you did was theft anyway...

I have worked in stores where people (including staff) have been arrested and charged for what you did.

We could all save a lot of time by stealing and pirating games, in which case there is no need for this forum.  Perhaps go and create your own site called 'shoplifting gamer' or something.

Wow, you actually have everyone posting on this thread turn against you in a heartbeat?

Well done, sir. Now as dark moogle has so politely put it, please leave.

wow everybody is going a little hard on this guy....yeah it's technically theft but it's only $20

plus it's more of a fault of the cashier too, he should have checked with a manager...most of the time sticker changes don't work

it was pretty much just luck that a lazy dude served him and cbf double checking...

"Technically theft"? That's still theft isn't it?

We don't know the circumstances of how busy it was at the store though. If there's a long queue, just like during the pre-Christmas and Boxing Day sales, it may not be a case of the person serving him being lazy, just that it'd hold up the entire queue doublechecking! Imagine if everyone in the queue did what technical_itch did and you had to check everything!

One would assume that most people would do the right thing and not cheat in such a fashion.
