EB just released their new catalogue, nothing really exciting (for me at least).
Most of them are trade 2 + $19.95 deals. IMO JB has the better trade-in offers due to the wider range of games you can trade in. But if you still a EB supporter (They probably has the best after sales service in Aus) they will always match any JB's trade-in offers provided their nearest JB has stock on hand.
However it is still is a decent deal if you missed out JB's last trade offers for Fable 2, Saints Row 2, FarCry 2 (X360), Deaspace, MidNightClub or you want to pre-order Prince of Persia which is not currently on JB trade-in offers (I bet my money on it will be on JB's next catalogue, but I sure like the pre-order bonus it come with).
Most notable item in this catalogue is the Wii Fit @$127. Even through I played my one three times and has been collecting dust for a long time now (Next test, In the future...lolz), they still going to sell them by the boat load (Really really BIG BOAT that is) this holiday season. For me I am going to wait for their December Catalogue before rushing into anything major, they usually has big half price or $$ off sales in december and extended exchange and return warranty till early Jan.
Btw, for anyone who brought any version of GOW2 from EB, return it NOW!! and then buy it agains (unless you did the DSE price match for the LE) you will get a free COG dog tag like those who pre-ordered (me). I guess too many people cancelled their pre-orders and rushed to JB for the $74 std or the trade-in offer for the LE. EB now has heaps of COG Dog Tag around (For the Fallen, collect all 30...I kid).
Lastly they have the incorrect X360 console prices in this Catalogue, I guess either they finished the Catalogue before MS notified of the change or/and this price drop has really come out of the blue. The current price at EB are;
arcade @288 w/ Sonic tennis
Pro @399 w/Assasin Creed, KangFu Panda & Lego Indianna Jones
Elite @549 w/Halo 3, Mass Effect, KangFu Panda & Lego Indianna Jones
Anyway follow the link below for the catalogue and find out what I am rumbling about; http://www.ebgames.com.au/catalogue/adults.cfm
