Hey Guys/Girls,
What was the last movie you guys watched and how did you find it.
I just came back from the cinemas watching 21st Jump st, and it has to be one of the funniest movies i had seen for quite a while. Ridiculous crude humour which works surprisingly well and over the top action scenes which actually compliment the story. Yeh theres also explosions and stuff.
But this movie is not for the feint hearted it gets a 8.5/10
Highly recommended.

American Reunion. Watched it because I enjoyed the original couple of American Pie movies and wanted to see how my favourite characters had grown up!

IMO, unfortunately, the gags aren't anywhere as funny as the original or even American Pie 2...and those movies were ages ago! Stifler is still Stifler, and while funny ten years ago, he now just seems like a douche.

Next movie to watch? Avengers, next week! Wooooooo!

I was hoping for a few more cameos from other Avengers (Giant-Man/Yellowjacket, Wasp, etc) but from online reports, looks like it's just the big 3, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Hulk. With Nick Fury, Maria Hill and other S.H.I.E.L.D agents. *sigh*

Who knows...maybe they will tease future Avengers appearances after the end credits! I'm very curious whether there will be other villains apart from Loki. Like the Skrulls?

Last movie I saw was Rango on BluRay... better than I thought, which its not overly a kids animated film. 8/10

Last Movie I saw at the Cinemas was The Hunger Games... it was honestly over hyped and average... I mean, it was still a decent film, but it had a "I'm leading to a sequel ending", and so much of the action felt kinda left out to make it more a kid friendly film... whicih is still rated M, but could have easily been rated MA with more of the action in it! 7/10

I haven't watched The Hunger Games or read the books, but when the hype first hit Australia, my first thought was: "Isn't that just a blatant rip off of Battle Royale?"

I would still watch it though, but not in a cinema...probably rental DVD.

I dont think so, battle royale would be leagues ahead of this rubbish... Battle royale is one of the best movies of all time.

I don't want to spoil anything but I think you may be kinda interested in who Loki has working for him Ian... think "Ultimates" Wink

And to add to the actual topic at hand:

the last movie I watched was "Turtles: Forever" the TMNT team up film... great little show that (more so for fans of the comics and the later animated series.. the 90's cartoon characters do tend to be the butt of a few jokes.. but it's still a fun watch).

Last film I saw at the cinema was "John Carter" really enjoyed it (saw it in 3D and wasn't too off-put / excited by the 3D.. but it was a pretty fun film regardless.

Maverick_jon: Reserving my judgement till I've watched Hunger Games, though I don't think it can reach the lofty heights of Battle Royale. Still one of my favourite movies of all time.

Arjay: I read somewhere that the plot would be similar to the one in the first series of the Ultimates. I'll be VERY excited if this is the case! And even more excited if Cap is a badass who points to the "A" on his head and spouts the very VERY famous line (see my profile pic and signature)!

Only a couple more days before the Avengers.

Well, I've watched the Avengers today. OMG! What a movie. There were certain slow parts during the movie...the "talking heads" scenes, though as a comic book fan, I enjoyed those moments. Those who want to see nothing but popcorn blockbuster scenes throughout the movie will dislike those scenes.

Lots of nods and winks to comic book Avengers lore, though I wish there were more cameos. No need to sit through all the credits...the traditional Marvel additional scene happens immediately after the first run through of the credits where they introduce the main actors, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, et al. They tease who the villain will be in the sure-to-be sequel...and I'm uber excited over who this cosmic villain is!

All in all, loved the movie. You wouldn't believe which character provides some unexpected comic relief during the movie...definitely very unexpected! I want to go watch it again!

will probably watch it next week when the cinemas quiet down, i hate sitting in a crowded cinema, the chance of running into a douche is exponentially higher.

Watched The Avengers again today. Watching it a second time enhanced the experience for me...there were a number of things I missed from the first time I watched the movie, so watching it a second time, knowing what was going to happen, allowed me to pick up on little things. They tease a lot of things in the dialogue, so this is a very well, sharply written script. No surprises there, given it's Joss Whedon's script!

So good. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray to be released.

The Avengers - sensational action movie that also has good acting and doesn't take itself too seriously.  Am a hard marker so I'll give it 8/10.
