Not sure if this is of any benefit to anyone but thought some may be interested.
* Site traffic dominated by CoD - no real surprises there. Interesting however that the analysis on the Hardened Edition wasn't as popular - but on the UK site it is #2 page. Just wonder if the HE wasnt that well received here, or that the thought was that it was all sold out anyway. * Halo 4 next, but the limited edition came out on top. Maybe a true limited edition rather than 'lets call it a limited edition and do 30,000 units for Aus' * FIFA over product life so far would be close to CoD. PS3 stand out. Nobody in Aus was at all interested in the Ultimate Edition * WWE did very, little in terms of ecogamer but is next after Assassins Creed * AC - Lot of traffic for the Freedom edition, out of stock early. - if you know someone in UK - get from Gamestop UK. * Deal of the week page continues on strong - dont forget we put codes here too * Pre-order deals - starting to pick up popularity as we populate more. Not rocket surgery. * NRL did very well - little from ecogamer * Need For Speed Most Wanted. You know we ummed and ahhed whether to put this on the site. Back several years ago - NFS was the biggest yearly franchise in Aus, next to WWE. But poor games and lack of direction killed it. Was sucked in by the hype this year, but site figures are low. * Guild Wars 2 - one of our best performers * Diablo 3 - another solid performer despite the hate * GTA 5 starting to build some steam even now. * Resident Evil 6 - Gonna pull out my Gamecube and play RE4 I think * Xcom - I think might be one of those games released at the wrong time. Polish and release next year and probably would double the numbers. Just got lost. Not Brain Science * Medal of Honor - I have seen Roadkill with more life. Wrong release date. Reportedly MASSIVE overstocks. Wait for ridiculous price. * Pokemon and Skylanders - very average results. Probably games dictated by catalogue. * Transformers - poor - gone from the site * GR Future Soldier - gone

Not yet - but a very good idea. So this was a bit of an exclusive to Ecogamer. Basically thought we would throw it out there and see if there was any interest, or if it was just nonsensical ramblings. The industry is fascinating and unique and it seems some publishers just don't follow logic at times, nor learn from their mistakes. This is then highlighted in numbers such as ours. Whether our numbers are indicative of the industry as a whole is another matter for debate.
So we will look to the addition of a blog in the near future, possibly with a numbers focus - but also looking at a boardroom focus.

Top 3 anticipated discounts: 1) Medal of Honor. Some massive numbers were forecast. UK retailers are ****ting bricks and thats with the limited edition. Special mention to the genius who suggested we take on CoD. 2) RE6. I just cant fathom why you would bring your release date forward 6 weeks to come up with a substandard game. Polish and make sure this is the best game you have ever released. Surely if RE5 was not your franchise killer, this + RE6 has taken the brand from AAA to a maybe buy in bargain bin. The only way this wont be bargain in Aus is retailers looking at their RE5 numbers and got nervous. And Aus buyers are cautious as. However, UK a different story - given the big noting Capcom did about their sell in numbers..... 3) Hate to say it but probably Hitman and Far Cry 3. Hitman launched low already. Both at the ass end of the season with Wii U just about to hit. Both might compete as the highest rated under performing games.
Special mention Xcom. E3 hype, but a title just completely lost.
