Hey guys I was planning on buying a PS Vita with a few games from Amazon US site. But it seems like the consoles can not be shipped to Australia.. Unlike the 3DS when I bought that on release last year.

So my question is where is the best place to buy the Vita when it is released next month? I don't mind importing, as unlike my 3DS console it is completely region free.

I saw game.com.au/psvita pre order deal of the wifi console, ridge racer and some other useless **** for $350 AUD. That look's like the best one at the moment.

Anyone help me to get a PS Vita for around $250?

PS Vita advertised on JB website for $348 for the WiFi version, though I'm certain that I saw the advertised price cheaper than that instore.

I'd be guessing that the big retailers like Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, Big W, etc would be competing and trying to advertise the lowest price as we approach the release date. However, likely to be in excess of $300 if purchased in an Australian bricks-and-mortars store, unfortunately.

Your best bet would be online, overseas shops like ozgameshop, playasia, zavvi, etc. Not sure that it'd be as low as AUD$250 though. Try eBay as well, though it may take a couple of weeks for prices to "cool off"?

My best friend from Melbourne pre-ordered it from Play-asia for $299.90... Play-asia PS Vita $299.90

It's the US version I think, I am thinking of buying it from there as well... So glad that it's region-free!! Just need to arrange for $80 more lol. Also planning to get Golden Abyss and 8 GB card.  Grin

Comes to ~$308 including shipping from Play-Asia atm (subject to fluxes in the dollar)

Probably worth just paying the extra $40 and getting an AU warranty. But still, for those who want to save $40 it's a pretty good alternative.
