Anyone know where JB or Dicksmith still has stock of the 250GB bundle in Melbourne?

Or for that matter, any place that has the 250GB bundle with PlayTV anywhere?

120GB PS3 Slim is $349.95 ($364.90 inc shipping) after Paypal cashback at Catch of the Day today only..
http://catchoftheday.com.au/

Hey, thanks for posting Wink
I went with this after walking around Eastland on boxing day and discovering that the bundle deals before Christmas had all dissolved. the new deals out there seem to be reduced console prices and or only crumby games.

The COTD deal was still valid up until yesterday by the way..
..and for those wondering if catchoftheday is legit - mine arrived in pristine condition yesterday.

Very happy - and so is the wife after hours of giggling over Little Big Planet Smiley

It's a bit sad that only, like, 2 of the offers in the OP are still valid...

Hi all ecogamers, I first want to let everyone know I much I wanted a PS3 slim console, since they first came out for sale many years ago, but simple fact was due to the price I could never afford one.
And since Sony introduced the slim model enough was enough I had to have one, so it was from around December 2009 I had been starting to look at prices from Good guys, Kmart, Dse ect….
These prices were still I little too high, I was determined to buy the best deal possible.
It was around xmas time I had gone away for the holidays, when I retuned I found that on December 25 catch of the day were selling PS3 slim120gb for 349.00 plus a small fee for shipping, that was a special offer with PayPal  I was so pissed that I missed out
The jb catalogue had come out and they had I thought some really good deals,
So it was around January that I would call my friend who worked at Jb I called him up went to him next time he was working to get deal on a PS3 slim.
The best price he could do the 120 GB was from 467.00 to 460.00 I thought 7 dollars off was a joke.
A month or so passed and after checking prices on eBay.au completed listings I could see that the play TV unit was selling for around 140.00. Since in the shops the cheapest I could find it for was 169.00 and that was from Jb,
So I checked an offer that EB games was having they were selling the 250 GB Slim with a play TV unit, Avatar game and a HDMI cable for 599.00
I knew what I would do buy it and sell the play TV and the Avatar game on ebay.au
I ending up selling the play TV for 140.50 and the game for 65.00, shipping in total was 14.10.
So what I ended up with was a PS3 250GB Slim console with 1.3B HDMI cable for 407.60. I then went to Kmart and brought grand theft auto 4 (platinum) for 49.00.
Since then I have found the play TV unit as cheap as 129.00 I think I got a pretty good deal. Apart from being deprived from a PS3 fro so long.

You couldve got GTA4 online for about $30 delivered.

Never ever buy games in Australian retailers unless they are having a crazy sale or you are crazy desperate.

It was around two or three day before a brought my console and started selling the stuff on eBay I found grand theft auto 4 on cdwow for 38.95 with free delivery, I had checked almost every online store as well as the retailers, it was cheap.
It close to being just over a week and they sent me this lettet

CDWOW!

We are writing to you regarding your order #453973949 for Grand Theft Auto IV (Platinum) (Playstation 3) (Product code: 10519673)
Unfortunately despite our very best efforts we are unable to get further stock of this item from our supplier.

We hope you will accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused.

I was a little upset but receiving a refund it didn’t bother me too much.
Now when I went to there website to check as I was doing every day I found the game still listed though it gets worse after the cancelation the game had now being slashed to 33. something with free delivery, how could this be when I was sent a cancekltion, when I went back to there website today it says 68.95 with free delivery. It feels like a scam so I walked into the cheapest place that sales gta 4 and brought it. (Kmart).

Hmm, me thinks this needs a good updating.

Also, EB doesn't price match console bundles anymore, however Dick Smiths new price match policy is to beat any other price. Although there is nothing that specifically mentions it, they can beat it by 10%. Just tell the salesperson you know about the 10% pricematch.

Heres some to start with:

$599 - 250GB PS3 + PlayTV + FIFA10 @ DSE
$564 - 250GB PS3 + FIFA10 (Official bundle) @ DSE
$559 - 250GB PS3 + God of War III Collectors Edition @ GAME
$436 - 120GB PS3 @ GAME
$469 - 120GB PS3 @ JB HiFi
$599 - 250GB PS3 + Red Dead Redemption + God of War III @ EB
$499 - 120GB PS3 + GTA IV + Assassins Creed @ EB
$599 - 250GB PS3 + Red Dead Redemption + PlayTV @ EB

While local deals are rather dull it looks like importing a PS3 slim for $250 - $300 is the go. Otherwise locally theres
PS3 160GB & 2 games & controller dock, $399 delivered @ MYER
