Charlie: I was impressed with this deal too, given that it USED to be Buy 2 get 1 free at $15.98 each...for normal DVDs and not Blu-Rays!

It seemed like there wasn't enough variety for me on the JB hard copy brochure...a lot of those Blu-Rays I already have in DVD format! Sad Hopefully in store there will be more variety to choose from.

Agreed - also thought the 2 for 30 was a bit of a deal but this is 33% better and the movies are better overall.

I have Blade Runner and Casablanca on DVD, and now you're making me feel bad for upgrading!

heh...I get tempted by new versions of DVDs (ultimate editions, special editions, etc etc) and keep wanting to upgrade...and THEN Blu-Ray started!

I'm trying not to do this nowadays because I really can't (or shouldn't be able to) justify getting Blu-Ray versions of things I already have, but I've done so with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Back to the Future trilogy, V for Vendetta, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head, when I already have the special ed/ultimate edition versions of them on DVD.

Sin City and 300 keep tempting me though...I might look into selling my DVD versions to a Cash Converters or something to offset the costs.

Similar subject was being discussed at yahoo answers last week. I can post the link if needed.
