I got a full refund from Paypal today after lodging a complaint with them, I would encourage anyone else who paid by Paypal to do the same.
Did you escalate it after a while, or did you just do a simple lodge ? It has been a few days since i initially filed a complaint, they have not responded to me.... nor paypal through the paypal system. I want to escalate it soon, so that paypal reaches a decision faster. They should be on my side, as to my knowledge, fishpond have not responded as yet. I did send them an e-mail yesterday, got a response back a few hours later (about 11:30pm), i asked for a refund.... they sent me the template reply again, this time with a new date of the 28th. They are very ambitious assuming it's going to arrive on the tuesday. I get the feeling that they are trying to hold off so that they have enough time (ie: 30+ days since the original order) to issue the refund with their own "fishpond credits" rather than a full refund of the money back in my own paypal account.

I escalated it after a few days after hearing no response. Then Paypal gave them a further seven (maybe 10) days to respond and they didn't respond at all. Given what's gone on I would suggest lodging a Paypal complaint and escalating it immediately. If you get the Points within the next week it's pretty straightforward to withdraw the Paypal complaint.

*Sigh* The one time I decide against using paypal when I had the option, it comes back to bite me on the ass. Does anyone know if Visa card will have a similar 'dispute' system as paypal, or am I sh*t out of luck? If anyone gets a response from scumpond as to why the failed miserably again to have the points in our hands last friday please post the email here so we can have a laugh. The next correspondence I have will be with the ACCC. http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815323I will likely post a form letter of my complain so others can cut and paste and in a few clicks lodge an official complain with the ACCC. Even if we can't shut them down enough complains will land them with hefty fine.

I got an email this morning, stating I will get a refund (believe it when I see it) Thank you for your enquiry and order at Fishpond.com.au We appreciate your patience and apologise that your order has failed to arrive; it appears that this parcel has gone missing in the mail. As requested we have refunded you and we will lodge a claim for the missing parcel. For credit card refunds, this will show on your statement in the next few days. All other refund methods will be processed in the next 1-3 working days. If at any stage you receive the original order, please use our returns form on the link below to return it. Alternatively, if you receive the order and would prefer to keep it please reply to this email and we can provide instructions for re-processing payment. https://www.fishpond.com.au/returns.phpUnder 'Reason to Return' please choose 'Lost item received' We do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Kind Regards

Just a word of warning (though I must say I have only "experienced" one refund with Fishpond), it took them more than the 3 working days for my refund to be processed through PayPal.

Such an unfortunate club to be joining, but I guess I'm in the same boat! I had the same scheduled delivery times as others here, finally broke and sent this note on Friday (or Thursday, it's been a while): Hi, > > After waiting over a month for my order of the two Xbox Live points cards (Which were stated as being "in stock") I'd like to cancel my order and receive a refund. Clearly when the initial "sent" email was sent it was misleading as they had not arrived, and I'm beginning to think the second "confirmation" email stating that the package would be here 20/6-24/6 was also misinformation. I can only draw the conclusion that the item has not been sent at all thus would like to get a refund on the order. > > Also note that this will be my very last order with Fishpond as the communication from the company regarding shipment of my item has been nothing less than fraudulent. This was their response: Hi Shane,
Thank you for your enquiry and order at Fishpond.com.au
We understand that the delay of your parcel is an extreme inconvenience for you. This was due to an unexpected and unfortunate delay and totally out of our control. We have been advised by the Australian postal services that all the delayed parcels have been since been released and they will be delivered within the next couple of days.
The earliest we can process a claim for the missing parcel, with our mail carrier, is on 28/06/2011. You are welcome to email us on that day, if you still have not received your parcel.
We will then be able to process a full refund or re-order the missing item for you.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the unexpected inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards Svetlana
Customer Services Team Fishpond.com.au I'm calling b/s. Edit: Looks like that was my first post, too. Hi!
