It appears the street date for AFL Live has been broken way before its proper release later this week.

Price round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track  prices and trade-in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity  to share trade-in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street  dates and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent  round-ups.

JB haven't advertised it, but they are doing Trade 3 for 1.  JB Adelaide (Rundle Mall) didn't have stock yet this afternoon, but hoped to have it tomorrow, and was willing to do Trade 3 for 1 as a preorder.

DSE at $79 seems to be best price straight up.

Interesting to have a game where there's no option to import...

This game is awesome. Been playing it all night. An AFL fan's dream.

A word of warning though.... the easiest difficult setting is still really hard. It pays to learn the skills properly or you will get frustrated. When you do learn the skills.... it's fantastic.

GeEkNeRd: Thanks for the feedback. I'm certainly going to get it, hopefully by tomorrow so that I can give this game a go over Easter. Perhaps I'm wishing for a bit too much, but I'm wondering if they have any "live updates" like NBA 2K11 does?

Can't wait to give this game a go! Though it would have been nicer just before the start of the actual footy season, and not at the start of Round 5.

Give anyone online a game after I've got in a bit of practice?

apparently there will be live updates.

Needs it to.

Currently a love hate relationship.

I love it when it plays like the best damn AFL game to date, but I hate the fact that it has so many bugs in it it aint funny.

Free kicks for out of bounds, opponent kicking the ball into the crowd from kick ins for a throw in, more stoppages than a west coast/sydney circa 05/06 game.

hmmm

Many stoppages? Argh. Here I was hoping for a more free-flowing version of the game! But I guess it needs to be realistic...hope there is an "anti-flood" option that we can select. Wink

The game is great. Especially online. BigAnyStudios have been participating in the AFL Live thread over at Whirlpool. They are listening to complaints and are releasing a patch in a coupla days to deal with a few minor issues.

Listen... if you love AFL, then you'll love this game. I do. It's as addictive as crack, exciting and hilarious.

It isn't flooding - its the exact opposite.  The issue is that every player on the ground is manned up, and so whenever you get the ball its incredibly likely there will be an opponent right next to you to tackle you.

If it had a zoned flood there may very well be less stoppages.

I love AFL, but this game is far from great. Patches won't fix everything.

But yes if you want the best AFL game to date then this is it

@HessianSack - You can choose whether you want players to man up or stay in space. It's in the game tactics options.
