Hello Ecogamers,

Short version: EB is your friend (this time), steer clear of GAME (as always)
Trade Value
Super Monkey Ball - EB $33 - GAME $55
(Will update list if others want to share)

I got Shadow wars and Super Monkey Ball with my launch 3DS from EB cause they were only $38 each with console purchase and I figured I didnt have anything to lose with the 7 day return policy.

Needless to say Monkey ball was a really bad choice and my initial action is to return the game to EB asap. It's Saturday and only one girl working the counter and queue is too long. Curiosity gets the better of me so I head down to GAME and ask for trade in value for Monkey Ball, it is worth $55. BUT the thing is GAME WILL NOT match 3DS game price at all with  Target ($55) stating their margin by honoring price match is zilch.  So no dice.

So I go back to EB and the queue has gone, I ask for price match $55 from Target, EB says ok. Then I ask them to match GAME trade value, they give GAME a call and confirm Monkey Ball is worth $55 to them.

Conclusion: way better than returning Monkey ball for original price I paid $38 under 7 day return policy. Got SSFIV instead.

GAME sold me Nintendogs for $53 (their cost price) and Lego Star Wars for $53 (their cost price) and  PES 2011 for $60 (their cost price).

I bought Rayman from EB Games for $38. I hated it. I traded it to GAME for $45.

GAME was awesome to me.

EB Games sold me Rayman 3D, Super Monkey Ball, Ghost Recon and Rabbids all for $38ea.

It really pays to get on friend terms with the managers They are happy to go the extra mile for you. Both my EB and GAME rock.

Agree totally with GeEkNeRd; it certainly pays to be friendly with your game shop staff. But EB won this time round with the 3DS offers (not trade-in values, mind you, Game still has that won); they price matched my 3DS pre-order price with K-Mart's $288 (lucky! only 3 left in Kmart at 9am Thursday morning), but Game couldn't do any pricematching.

Going to trade in my Sims 3 at Game before the end of the month to get $50; paid $38 for it at EB Games. Wish I purchased more 3DS games for $38 at EB though.
