Still available. How long has this deal been going for?

Damn, see now im thinking a Kmart deal would guaruntee a midnight purchase at a 24 hour Kmart, or just more waiting with these other guys.

God dam it's gonna be hard to say no at 288
Don't you trust your GamesPlus deal? Are they a new business?

Im about 5 minutes away from putting my second console order through with these guys.

@waz - got the deal via a tweet late this afternoon. Never used them before though.

Edit - and as to the $288 deal I'm more likely to impulse buy than take the time to plan ahead and order online.

It will be in the upcoming Kmart catalogue. You'll see it from Sunday if you get your junkmail then.

Just a heads up that Kmart will probably have very limited stock on launch date. I know that the number of Aqua Blue 3DS's my store is expected to get is very low (significantly less than 20, not giving an exact number). Haven't checked the Black model, but it would be the same or similar.

Get in early if you're keen to get one. Check if they will start selling them the previous night (most stores close at 9pm every weeknight now), or get in at 8am on Thursday morning.

Catch Of The Day this Wednesday is selling Nintendo 3DS for $199.
Good luck to those who are trying to get one.
=)

Edit - Nevermind it has already been mentioned...
I'm too slow for bargain hunting...

Highly unlikely...
Too many Catch Of The Day members looking for bargains.
They'll even buy the Nintendo 3DS even if they don't use/need it.
Just resell it on eBay for profit and ****.
Not only have that - that'll have very very limited stock.

A member from OzBargain has discovered select EB Game stores are offering half price 3DS when trading in a DSi. Currently the best trade in deal:

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41161

I can confirm this for the Arndale store in SA.

Also EB will be offering $30 trade value for titles such as Ghost recon, Rayman, Rabbids etc up till the 30th of April.

It's not a 'could', knowing COTD, your success of getting a console will be to the will of the gods. Each of their doorbuster sales have brought their servers to the ground, to the point where it's almost impossible to go through any of the steps from Add card > Confirm > Payment > Postage > Confirmation.

I've missed out plenty, I did get the $29 BLOPs last time. And it's true, people would buy even if they don't want it. I traded in my 2nd BLOPs for store credit.

EDIT

Excellent deal on 3DS games I just found via another Whirlpool poster.

http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/nintendo-3ds.dept

Using the ECOGAMER10 discount code (10% off with 2 purchases) + their 25% off 3DS games + The Hut's now FREE international shipping, order your 3DS games in pairs. This even works with pre-orders.

Ie. You can order both Pilotwings and Zelda, with the code it's 56 quid ~ $82 AUD. Since Pilotwing's out now, it'll be shipped from the UK, yet still arrive well before the official Aus launch date, and Zelda will be shipped out separately when it launches (for free too).

And each games will wind up roughly $41, yet (depending on our launch date), arrive earlier.

Does anyone know if shops such as JB, Game and EB will be willing to price match other retail prices for the 3DS?

Strand0410 you have to be mindful of region locking for the Nintendo 3DS.

Of course, but this is the UK, so safe bet that it'll work on Aussie 3DS and vice-versa.

I think the best is if you pre-order this at eb then get them to match price with Kmart and buy 1 of 5 titles for $38 if you missed out on previous deals like the DSE deal.

Anyhow everyone, Cosmo black or Aqua Blue? Which do you like and which is more popular do you think?

I think Aqua Blue is the more popular choice; this is the colour I prefer, and the colour I will be getting when I purchase it from Kmart on Thursday. I am getting the Cosmo Black one from the US though..
