i did trade my dsi in eb for $175 towards 3DS, now thinking to get the raving rabbit as well for $38. But still wondering how much the trade value for that game if I swap that with street fighter 3D. Is it gonna be higher if i trade that in other store like JB or GAME?

I doubt it'll be worth the $38 when you go to trade it in-you're better off putting the money straight towards SF

Just cancelled my order at EB today (retail price and no confirmed bundles). Re-ordered at The Good Guys. I know this can hardly be counted as official but instead of charging me $347, I was only charged a total of $340 (paid in full so I doubt they can ask me for that $7 later on). Personally, I think TGG's deal is probably the best. 3DS games go for (around) $65 (Nintendogs, Street Fighter) to $75 (Samurai Warrios, Splinter Cell) so when you think about it, you're pretty much only paying $282 for the 3DS itself. I mean, who's not buying a game on launch, right?

So if we're calculating the cost of our bundles; Dick Smith 3DS + Rayman 3DS bundle = 3DS for $203, Rayman for $65, but I had to do some stuffing around getting a friend who works there to order it for me (your time should always be factored into the cost).
I am glad to hear people are still excited to buy a DSi XL. Just yesterday I went into Harvey Norman and they were selling DSi AND DSi XL for $198. This is not a mistake, I checked twice and nearly bought myself one.

Games are only worth how much customers are willing to pay to play them. In this case, it's almost guaranteed the trade-in prices on the Ubisoft titles (Rayman, Raving Rabbids and Tom Clancy) will be very low, seeing as they're thrown into almost every game+console bundle now. When 31st hits, just about everyone will be flooded with these games and if you thought you were going to trade it in for a better title at a good price, a million other people were thinking the same thing. EB/JB will adjust their trade-in values appropriately. Same thing happened with the 360 Lego Indy/Kung Fu Panda double pack, and usually occurs when there are lots of games floating around that no-one wants.

Agreed...I'd much rather wait for and pay more for a better game than to get a cheaper game on release, not like it and hardly ever play it, and then find that I get next to nothing for it when I try to trade it. I mean, who's not buying a game on launch, right? Phi, I'm not buying a game on launch. But that's a personal preference...I'd get Super Street Fighter IV, except that I already have that on console. I'm not overtly impressed with the 3DS launch titles, to be honest. Where's the Mario game? Or Zelda? Even Kid Icarus would have been awesome. Closest other title that I was thinking of getting was Nintendogs + Cats, but I think it might be a game I'd play for a while then tire of it quickly. I'm waiting for the release of other 3DS games before getting something.

Fairly typical launch line up. Rayman 3D is a remake of Rayman 2 and I've been meaning to play that since its original release. So its not like its an unbarable line up. Unfortunately Kid Icarus isnt even a launch window title

Anthony: Most console launches usually have an A+ game available on launch day. So it's a bit disappointing that this isn't the case for the 3DS, though I suppose the main attraction is the actual console itself!
I guess Super Street Fighter IV could be considered an A+ game launch, but that's not quite a Nintendo published title.
Ah well. I'm sure we'll be flooded with super 3DS games soon anyway!
