The latest installment of the Call of Duty series - Black Ops - will be released on November 9th.

Price  round-ups are forum discussions that let the community track prices and  trade-in offers for upcoming releases. It is an opportunity to share  trade-in exploits, point out online sales, reveal broken street dates  and helps reduce work for staff so that we can have more frequent  round-ups.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. There is something I've been really wondering about, and I can't seem to get a definite answer, I would really appreciate it if someone can shed some light. Ok, so I want Black Ops on steam, and I hear that if I buy a retail copy I can use the key from it to get the game through steam, is this true? or is the only way of getting the steam version, is by actually buying it off steam itself?

Would really appreciate any help, cause I really don't want to buy it of steam cause its too pricey, but I still want the steam version.
Thanks

Like Modern Warfare 2, all PC copies will have to be registered on steam. So yes, it's a steam game.

You can get PC copy for $45 from direct2drive with the code 'bigsavings'. You can preload the game now and they'll email you the key on launch. The key will be for steam. Works fine for Australians, perfectly legit. Doesn't require any US VPN or fake address.

JB have the 20% off family and friends offer on ALL CDs, DVDs and games (excluding consoles and accessories): www.jbhifi.com.au/fandf

It's happening in many JB stores Wed 10 Nov after 6pm.

So 20% off Black Ops on any format = $64!

Are there any special requirements for this or is it just a matter of being there at that time and date to get the discount?

Rang JB to ask the same thing- apparently it's jusy a non-advertised (or minimally so) sale that staff know about and let their friends and family know about. It is open to everyone though- you don't have to be staff or prove your friends or family of a staff member.

So go forth and save.
