Explain to me how you can garner a profit/good deals for gaming as you outlined in your first, original post, for games out today.

If you are suicine then he will be able to no matter what, apparently! If you are shane then muscles and sweet talk to retail chicks does everything for him, or just steal petrol to save money.
To be honest, there are alot of ways. For example, buy LA Noire for $78 and trade it in for $82 if you have edge card, rinse and repeat. Earning $16.30 each time you do it. I didn't read the original post but that would be what you do with today's games.
Game and ebgames along with jb would all monitor these forum from time to time which make it more difficult to find trade baits plus ebgames have been more proactive in cracking down on this from what I've been told by the guys in the CBD.
In short, it's more difficult but not impossible. Plus that was just 1 example, I am sure there are many many things you can do to scam companies if you think about this all day everyday.

luffy what did the guys in CBD say? and did they tell you this cos u tried trading in LA Noire? lol!
also it's $82 without edge, $94.3 with edge. here's how you do this the suicine way.
EB has a 3 pre-owned for the price of 2. you can get 3 trade baits thats not excluded for $50. then you trade for Noire at jb and then trade teh Noire at EB with edge for $94.3. earning $43+ each time! but yea apparently you can use teh trade 8 get 50% more deal with this.
luffy gains $16 each time
the great suicine gains 43 each time.

I've gone a bit off looking for trade baits and bargains...just doesn't seem worth the time and effort anymore, especially when JB changes the exclusion list so often in the past couple of months.
I'm wondering which would be a better deal; trading in 4 games to Game for an extra $30 trade value, or utilising EB Games' trade 2/4/8 for extra % in trade-in values? If one is trading 8 games, that seems the best bet, but if it's just trading 4 games (say, for ****py games), Game might have the better deal.
All store credit though...seriously reconsidering whether it's worth getting store credit anymore, given that EB and Game do have higher selling prices for games.

Round here you don't get store credit. When I traded in my DS collection I was forced to get games then and there and put the rest down on a preorder for Kid Icarus. This was at GAME.

Anthony: That's terrible! I've shopped at Game for quite a long time now and while they don't have a gift card where they can put credit on (like EB Games or even JB Hi-Fi), they do (and have done for me several times in the past) print out a credit voucher which can be used 12 months from the date of issue.
This should be the same across all Game stores (and I have received credit vouchers in at least three different stores, all in Victoria though), so it's very strange why you're not able to get a credit voucher from your local Game store.
One thing though...if you lose your credit voucher, that's it! Game doesn't seem to keep a record of how much credit you have in their system. I lost a credit voucher once and they guy definitely remembered me, but he couldn't do anything about it. Thankfully it was only for around $13-$15.

I have two copies of Noir (I just do, OK? Nothing suss.) ;-). Anyway, I was wondering whether the trade-in value offer of $82 would be able to be used in combination with the 30% for 4 offer. IE, can I trade in my two Noir's in the same transaction, maybe even 4 if I get more, and get 30% on top of $82 for each? Or are no multiples allowed, as I suspect?

Last time I traded at Game (in the last 6 months or so here in NSW) I had to use it all then.
There was no voucher etc..it could have gone as a deposit against a pre release as the only other option.

Fido: I think it's best to check with your local EB Games in-store. There seems to be conflicting information about this at the moment; suicine94 reckons you can but Luffy21 reckons you can't (because value of the game is lower when not trading it as a single game...see his explanation in the last post of the previous page).

snuke: Hmmm...which Game do you go to again? I sort of remember it was in the SouthEastern suburbs of VIC, but I could be confusing you with another forumer living in that area.
But that is very strange indeed. The three Games I got credit vouchers off that I remember are Eastland Ringwood, Knox City and Box Hill (since closed down). Admittedly I know the staff members very well in Ringwood and Box Hill (when it was open), but I don't really know the staff at Knox City at all.

100% sure you can't do that at either EB or Game.

You can not trade towards a store credit or gift card in nsw you have to buy something on the spot. The best advice is to pre order something coming out in a while and that works like store credit. So u can go in 6 months later and cancel the pre order and get what you want. However bad side is it's only at that store which u traded in at unless you go to another store and ask them to rang that store and transfer your credit over. Also games with the trade back offer are excluded with any other offer like extra trade credit that's their rules. Best to go on a Sunday or Thursday night when younger staff working who don't know the terms to the letter. Hence Eb and game " You pay peanuts you get monkeys "
