Ill be putting together a feature article with some tips on post Christmas sales. Things like not hiding games at the back of the shelf (they always get found) and stuff like that. Does anyone have any tips theyd like to pass on?

Hide your game in the CD section behind the 80's Movie Soundtracks section that is always empty?

LOL thatll be one of my tips, but during Xmas sales people go MAD and buy up everything even if its not on sale. Ill cover stuff like that in the article.

Basically retailers know Xmas sales bring loads of sales even on regular prices. Often youll find the same prices on things as there was in the pre Xmas sales. The end result is piss poor prices and strange crowds that seem to find games no matter where you put them.

Yeah, look in your classified section in your paper a couple weeks after christmas, all people selling off their unwanted presents of which they have no idea of the value

I did that and got a heap of DVDs at a fraction of what they were worth

LOL Now that's really not fair! I like 80s music!!

I any case, in my experience, video games don't get as much slack as other goods. For example, I go to Myer, the electronic/video game section's got hardly anything, but when you turn to the clothes section, there's this huge bin of ties or scarves which everyone's unfolded.

I sometimes ask the stores if they have anything overstocked they might want to get rid of at a lower price. It works for me but thats also because I was a regular at the store.

Other than that, find a store that will match online prices for games. Its hard to find, but occasionally you will get one.
