JB's exclusion list was updated yesterday 5/2/2010

I'm not familiar enough with it to tell what has changed, but I'm pretty sure that Mirror's Edge wasn't on there a few weeks ago...

Thanks for the heads up mate. Here's a link for anyone who wants to check out the new list: http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/excluded-games.pdf

Surprisingly, Mass Effect and Bioshock (Both $20 at EB at the moment) have not been included on the exclusions list)

I can confirm that no PS3 games have been added to the list. But I think they added a few to the Wii and obviously the Xbox list which is increasingly going to be every single game lol.

V22.  Perhaps should've been clearer, in that it is Mirror's Edge for 360.

They wont be added until JB has too many copies of them. They update based on their own stock levels and not what trade bait is looming around.

He meant the xbox 360 list and yes v22 5/2/10 is the latest and only xbox 360 games added no wii games I believe. Someone put the added titles in shoutbox before, I can only remember Nascar 2008, mirrors edge and dark messiah elements. They do add games ahead of time if they are really cheap like the big w sale from a while ago, thought the were on top of things now but maybe not

I think they also shift them outta the store, second hand, as well pretty easily.

Lots has changed. I have already been caught out. Pretty much the rule is, if it's $13 it's on the list.

Edit: Hold up, I was rejected for ATrain or whatever it's called (horrid cheap game) but now I'm home I can't see that on the list. It wouldn't have been updated AGAIN would it?!??

What do you mean you've been caught out?

There's a couple games for $13 that aren't on the list, just go look at the EB website and order the games by price.
I traded in A-TrainHX the other day, on the receipt it's listed as "OPEN SKU", it kind of depends on store or staff as some places they will let you trade in even imported games or games with no barcode.

Ah ok. On the new exclusion list it's still not on there. I think I had a new girl (it wasn't my normal person) I suppose she didn't know what to do. Is it possible for some games to just be rejected at their discretion because that particular store doesn't want it? I once had one Xbox game that needed a camera (in the movies?) and they wouldn't accept that even though it wasn't on the list, although I hear that others have done it fine.

I used A-TrainHX last night in a trade, dude didn't bat an eyelid...

Usual rule of thumb for JB: If you get a game knocked back at one JB, try the next... Smiley

Yup, offloaded A-Train and it did come up as Open SKU. That's good. I believe it's an international game, UK or something.
