Too Human for $9, which will probably now go to my housemate's brothers
Traded Dragon Age towards Mass Effect 2 (+ $39.95)

K-Mart
X-Men Origins $25

EB
Assassins Creed - $88 (wasn't sure if it would be as painfully frustrating/repetitive as the first, and wanted the option of returning it)

GOG
Might and Magic deal at GoG:
Might and Magic 6-Pack + Heroes of Might and Magic 1-3 $19.96US

Steam:
Torchlight $10US (Weekend Sale)
Alien Shooter Revisited $1.24US
Alien Shooter 2 $1.24US
Zombie Shooter $1.24US
Jedi Knight Bundle $9.99US
Lucas Arts Adventure Bundle $2.49US
Left 4 Dead 2 (non-AU version) $32AU (friend bought a 4-pack)
Serious Sam HD $9.99US
Max Payne Bundle $4.08US
Civilization IV: The Complete Edition $13.60US
Shattered Horizon $3.75US
King's Quest Collection $5.40US
Prince of Persia Pack $24.35US
Space Quest Collection $5.40US

Some of the numbers are odd because they were part of 4-packs or were bought by a friend who currently lives in Seattle and thus has to pay sales tax on Steam purchases.

This is absolutely nothing compared to one of my friends who bought almost 150 games on Steam on the last day of the sale.

What's the point in buying so many games at once? You...do remember you are meant to play and complete video games, no? This rabid collect-a-thon that goes on is a little perplexing. Gone are the days where Ocarina of Time would be the one and only video game for many, for an entire year.

It's devolved into a trading card like system.

Looonnnggggg ass post with stuff from December 6.

PSP games were $10 each, except Infected which was $13 at EB. I then found out that inside the Madden case was the UMD of L.A. Rush. **** was SO agrifying.

Loons: The Fight For Fame. X-Box game with Looney Tunes characters, only $5.

Pokemon Blue. Sticker's been worn off, but it was only $5 so :V.

$10 posted from EB's Mad Monday sale

Free from an online friend. Korean version he got for $4, but in-game it apparently has English.

Also free from him.

Also free....

Contra on Game Boy. Was so shocked to find this, been wanting it for a looooong time. Only $8 at Cash 'em In.

SAMBA DE AMIGO WITH WIIRACAS FOR $9! $9! And I didn't know it came with the Wiiracas, I took the game to the counter and he threw them in!

Stargate SG-1 Season One was $19 at Cash Converters. Bought it as a Christmas gift for my brother, he had it, so I offloaded it on a cousin who hates Stargate.

Sam & Max was $10 each at K-Mart. Chaser Annual was $30

Christmas gifts from my brother.

All the stuff I ended up getting from the Steam sale. All the gifts at the top were from Klevster (who I still have to pay back).

GH3 was preowned for $19 at GAME, using for trade bait. SEGA Rally was $19 new, was going to use for trade bait, but now I figure I might keep it and use it for trade bait if I get desperate.

Was surprised to find Warhawk at Cash Converters for $5, along with a whole bunch of other PS1 games. Was in some fancy cardboard packaging, also came with 2 manuals. Wing Commander III was also $5, it's a 4 disk interactive movie, or something like that, but it has Mark Hamill amd Malcolm McDowell!

MediEvil Resurrection for $10 preowned at GAME. Decided to grab it as it was non-platinum.

Dick Smith
Crash of the Titans -$9.95

Game
Too Human - $9

Got them both as Trade Bait, unfortunately the jblist has been updated for Too Human before it even arrived in the mail Sad

Picked up two games from Game today for $15 each.  Battlestations Pacific and The Wheelman.  Hoping the tradelist doesn't get updated before Mass Effect 2 comes out, then I will have it for $40 worth of Trade Bait.

In my case, it was cheap and on sale. I actually maintain a list of games I have bought/been given and have not yet finished, partially to allow the use of an app to pick on at random when I don't know what to play.

The reason for purchasing the games though is because chances are I will not see those games at that price for some time. It is in some ways a gamble though, as in the case of Torchlight the game was then on sale for $5US 2 days after Christmas, but I had finished it by that point. I've also finished Alien Shooter Revisited and Zombie Shooter, as well as been able to play through each of the campaigns for L4D2.

As for my friend, yeah I have no idea what he was thinking, and worse, he now owns more games on Steam than me!

In the last weekly haul thread I said I wasn't going to buy any more games till after Christmas.....well.....I lied!  With the exception of a few recent titles from Game, most of my haul came from the pre-boxing day sales. All 360 titles, all prices include delivery if applicable.

JB Hi Fi:
Prototype - $29

Kmart:
Wheelman: $19

Ebay:
Left 4 Dead - $22 (using $12 Paypal postage voucher - thank you Ecogamer)

Game:
Your In The Movies - $9
Too Human - $9
Tomb Raider Underworld - $19
Scene It - $19

Sanity Online:
Don't remember what the individual prices for the following were but total cost was $106. Surprisingly, only 2 titles from my order were cancelled and it all arrived via express post the following business day.

Saints Row
Ninja Gaiden 2
The Club
Dead Space
Facebreaker
Fifa 08
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

from Harvey Norman clearance (9 games for roughly $160 - all already used as tradebait):
2x Tom Clancy: End War (360) - $15 each
2x Dead Space (360) - $15 each
2x Supreme Commander (360) - $18.75 each
Pro Evolution Soccer 10 (360) - $22.25
Rise of the Argonauts (PS3) - $20
The Bourne Conspiracy Collector's Bluray edition (PS3) - $12.50

I bought too many things from STEAM sale to list

from GAME 4 hour crazy sale (all already used as tradebait befoe JB updated their exclusion list):
3x You're in the Movies (360) - $9 each (kept the cameras from all of them)
3x Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (360) - $9 each
3x copies of FIFA STREET 3 (360) - $9 each

from KMART:
USB microphone compatible with all consoles and PC - $25
ROCK BAND drums, guitar and AC/DC game (360) - $48
Star Ocean (360) - $FREE! ? (bought it with the above and a heap of clothes and other bits and the total was over how much cash I had on me at the time so I asked the register operator to remove it, but they threw it in my bag after they'd deducted the amount from the total. ? I didn't notice until we were home.)

from EB:
Aliens VS Predator Hunter Special edition
Dante's Inferno
Bad Company 2: Limited Edition
(all pre-orders paid for using tradebait listed above)

I bought a Guiter Hero 5 guitar and game pack for $98 + Rock Band and Guitar Hero 2d hand games for $30 each pre-Christmas to use at family get together (which didn't happen due to sister in law's kids being sick) so I returned them on Sunday (along with three other games I'd tradebait matched) and the EB store didn't have any of the swipe cards left so instead of store credit (which I was after at the time) they gave me CASH (even better! woohoo!). ? So walked out of there $400+ richer after they price matched DARKSIDERS for XBOX 360 for $79

Paypal:
I recieved a $48 rebate credit from Paypal so I bought a new NES cartridge cradle (the spring in mine is stuffed) as well as a new Famicom disk drive belt from Japan (so I can repair and then sell my Famicom and disk collection).

EBAY:
Psychonauts for XBOX for $6 inc. postage

it's been good hunting over my holiday break
