Has anyone found a decent price on the Hardened (or 'Harden', depending on various site listings) for X360? I note that the game's been confirmed region free on the 360 but can't find a really good price on that edition, even overseas.

For all of you planning and hoping to do the trade scams, think again.

EB have changed there trade laws now.  No longer can trade in credit be put on gift cards.  You either have to put it towards pre orders or a purchase that day.

So for those thinking of getting multiple titles and taking them to different stores, it won't work and also you can't trade in any more than 2 of the same copy of the game per store.

Geez, why don't you just get one copy of the game and let others get the games cheaply, rather than clearing all the stock from stores and actaully do what most of us do and actaully save for a PS3 etc.

@zeldamario

I think that only applies to NSW, though I might be wrong...
Not that I condone the scamming... but I don't condemn it either :p

Well in Melbourne, EBGames called me to tell me to come to work on November 10th (MW2 day T_T) because of new trade in laws. so i think Melbournians are affected too

Can someone who works at eb games or who knows the policy 100% please confirm the new directive. I've heard all sorts of things from not being able to get a gift card to not being able to put the credit on preorders and having to use it on the spot etc etc

zeldamario,
isn't the whole point of sites like ecogamer, ozbargain etc... getting stuff as cheap as you can?
dont make it out like its a 'scam' - scams are like amway that force you to pay thousands of dollars for nothing. this is just a loophole found in offers.

How about EB stop ripping people off with stupidly low trade values?

We'll stop when they do...

Hmmm... After a bit of thought, there are easy ways around not being able to put the credit for a trade onto a gift card...

Seeing as some people here view this as a 'scam' I'll keep it to myself to appease the nay-sayers...

Feel free to PM me if you'd like to hear my thoughts...

its bizarre though, why are these people on this website if they object to people taking advantage of the system - isn't that half of what this website is about?

Why are people shouting scam when all your doing is another form of trade bait... Also if your afraid that they'll deny 2 copies of the same game take one copy for ps3 and one for 360, it might make a difference...

The difference is cost and Hardened has: XBLA code for original Call of Duty, hardened case and an art book...

So depending on the difference in cost, is it worth those extra things... I've a feeling that the original Call of Duty will be around 1200 MS points when it's released, might be 800...

I heard that jb will be selling the std edition for 79 and harden for 99. I've got the original cod plus its expansion on pc. SO technically for me 20 bucks for metal casing and art book isnt worth it for me. thanks heaps for the help
