Tell 'em They're Dreamin' is a weekly feature designed for all those moments when you've wondered and had to ask yourself if a store was dreaming when they priced a particular item or bundle. It is an opportunity to tell the world about the bad deals and ridiculous prices you've seen and have some laughs over them. Drop by the forum discussion to participate and link to any photos if you have them.

It's about time for another one. What sort of 'deals' did you come across during October?

This thread is for insanely HIGH prices (ie: terrible deals no-one in their right mind would buy), not good prices!

Big W: Saints Row 1 for $87! And yes, it was in the platinum range.

Some of the "reduced" prices at HN I saw on Friday....

Blue Dragon $25 reduced down from $29... WHOA! Wink
There were some other shockers as well, too many to remember!

I would like to nominate this:

http://www.ecogamer.com/forums/topic,1447.msg8715/#msg8715

I know it seems a bit bitchy, but given the system is modded (I doubt it has been used for backups given no games are included) I think it is a fair call.

That's crazy, so he wants about $600 worth of Xbox gear for about $200 of damaged Wii gear.... go figure.

$110 for Left for Dead 2 at Game online.

About a month or two ago I traded in a spare copy of the World Ends With You which I bought for $24 at JB. It was traded at GAME for Professor Layton and Pandoras box as part of their trade 1 game pay such and such. Anyways, after I traded it I thought I'd go back and buy it so I could play some multiplayer on it with my brother. GAME's preowned price for it was $60. I thought that was a bit insane

I'd like to nominate the DJ Hero 'Renegade Edition'. $300 instead of $124, for a shiny turntable, a couple of CDs and a carry case which has pull out legs to make it a table (http://www.ebgames.com.au/ps3/product.cfm?id=15368&refer=recommend).
No thanks.

Just having a look at the new EB games website and have noticed a few games where the price for the Pre Owned is more then a brand new copy.

Monsters Vs Aliens: New $49.91, Pre Owned $59.94
Wall E: New $49.91, Pre Owned $59.94

Q: Sorry I think there is an error in the listing. It is stated that postage regular is $99.00
A: its not an error buddy! i put 99 on d postage instead on the listing to get around the listing charges.. so just put in mind the total price is postage + final price which should be no more than 109.99

lol
