anyone using folklore for trade in bait, want to swap/sell their copy to a desperate cheapskate rpg fan? :s

Some Big Ws.. the scaning machine (the ones set up all over the store) and the ones at the home entertainment counter scans differently. eg price on self serve machine $60, price at counter $10.

If the staff are friendly (or not busy), you may give it a shot to bring 'full priced' games that you think may be discounted to the counter to have them scan it for you.
some of you guys went to big ws with bad customer service, but the big ws i went to were happy to do that for me. and i didnt just take 2-3 copies, i took like 15 of them to the counter to have them scanned for price !

another thing is, some big ws are willing to hold the items for you.
eg you call them up, ask them if they have xxx in stock, they check it in their computer, and sometimes they may hold it for you.
so a good thing is to read thru the posts and see which titles are more than likely to be discounted (the $10-$15 games) give them a call and find out if they have stock for the games you want, rather than traveling all the way there for nothing. they can check it on their computer.
but do note, that sometimes they may have it in stock, but they only have the disc and the manual and not the cover and the case.

and also you might wanna try out checking under the shelves. i found 1 or 2 games there. (someone's stash?)

Ok, firstly, incredibly jealous of the people finding the cheap 360 games, my local, Werribee had been raped and pillaged by the time I got there... 7PM But congrats, I'm glad to see EcoGamer's get these bargains!

Boom Blox on the Wii was a good find for me, $10 each, EB offering $16 trade and JB $23 trade! And I did leave one copy on the shelf for someone else...

I've made a list of Wii and DS titles that have been marked as clearance and I'm going to head down today for a look with my list in hand...

Wow who cleared out Bankstown Big W? I went there this morning and there were like no PS3 games games at all except for recent releases. I did find 2 copies of Lego Indy for $10 each hidden in the 360 section.

Yeah they were both discounted down to $60 had to peal of the discount sticker on the back and scan it to get the $10 price to show up.

COD4 for 360( no ps3) scanned at 98 or so yesterday.. I was thinking this sale was a myth at the prices scanning up.. To make things worse i bought trade bait at Evil Bastards and multiple copy game i bought was excluded when i went to jb. Apparently there is 50% ALL games at HN somewhere in WA so it may apply here.
