Ok guys i have a been on a journey, a journey to not pay retail price for PS3 games. Now this is a bit of an Essay but its a good read to the show the loop holes in the retail systems and the benefits to importing games.

Ok lets start with this i had bought 2 copies of fallout from the UK for $23 each and a copy of MK V DC that cost me $26. So so far those three games cost me $72 in total.

Oh and i also bought Tom Clancys End War limited edition which came bundled with the official PS3 mic from GAME for $39. I bought it for the Mic so i got the Game FREE.

Now i pre-ordered Assassins creed 2 White Edition at GAME by trading in Mk v DC in one of their trade in deals. AC2 white edition costs $129.95 in total and they gave me $70 credit for MK v DC. So i still owed $59.95.

Next i pre-ordered Uncharted 2 at GAME by trading in Fallout 3 in once of their trade in deals. Uncharted 2 Costs $109.95 in total and they game me $70 for Fallout 3. So i still owed $39.95.

Next i pre-ordered Borderlands at GAME by trading in Fallout 3 in once of their trade in deals. Borderlands Costs $99.95 in total and they game me $70 for Fallout 3. So i still owed $29.95.

Ok so im all set right what else could i want.... Well i still really wanted the Steelbook edition of Uncharted 2 from JBHIFI which costs $99.

So i walked into EB Games and picked up Condemned 2 and Facebreaker for $18 each using the Edge card. So i now have 3 bits of trade bait for $36. I now proceded to my JBHIFI where i traded in Condemned 2, Facebreaker and End War for Batman AA. I walked out of the store for a few min and came back in and gave them a reason that i wanted to return Batman AA where they game me $99 store credit for it. I now used that $99 Store Credit to pre-order Uncharted 2 Collectors edition (steelbook) from JBHIFI. So essentially i got Uncharted 2 Collectors edition for $36.

Now that i had 2 copies of Uncharted 2 pre-ordered i walked back into GAME where i asked if i could cancel my pre-order of uncharted 2. Which after doing that game me $70 credit at GAME which i used to pay in full what was left on Assassins creed 2 $ 59.95 and Borderlands $29.95. To my surprise he said they the system was only charging me the online price of $79.00 for borderlands which ment i only owed $9 for it. So essentially i got Assassins Creed White collectors edition and Borderlands for $72.

^ well how would they know, just return your Batman (most likely for store credit), and then use it to purchase Uncharted.

im thinking about doing it, but would i have to trade in my 3 games and come back say the next day?

as is standard practice nowadays... buy three, trade for batman, change your mind, return for uncharted CE...

I wouldn't mind buying a PSP GO but the prices are just outrageous. If i do ill probably arrange to import a consoles. Got a mate over in Canada atm so ill probably get him to send me one over.

Full Retail Price in Canada is $249.99 Canadian dollars. Thats $269 Australian Dollars

and im sure u can arrange a courier for about or under $50AUD.

Im a buyer who knows what he want before he walks into the Shop and i generally know what its going to cost me too. Most of the time i generally import from the UK as its will save me $20-40 AUD a game.

But from my experience that i have had with EB and Game id have to say id prefer GAME. The staff at EB that i have come across generally just dismiss any questioned asked to them as if they dont know what im talking about and cant even be bother to try and find out.

The GAME stores that i have been too as someone previously posted were rather empty but the staff were happy and helpful and knew what they were selling at least.

As for prices i find Game to be $10 cheaper than EB and JB to be another $10 cheaper or the same as GAME (New releases).

No im getting all the DLC when its released from PSN, i love fallout 3 one of my favorite games, I just happened to get hold of a second copy that is still brand new a sealed. And i dont have need for 2 copies of the game.

Yeah they are pretty good considering its comming from the UK, Quickest for me from 365games has been 5 days and longest has been 9 days (i did order on a weekend though).

Ive have a extra copy of fallout 3 that is brand new and still sealed in its shrink wrap.

Meh, I really can't warrant paying extra for the "collectibles" such as these. I just can't see the value in them myself personally, although I can understand why others are willing to.

The beauty of this deal is its going to cost me less for the White collectors than to buy the standard edition.  (Assuming the standard edition is sold for $89 or greater on release day).

Now from DVD crave i just ordered MK V DC universe for ~$26 delivered which is an eligible title. So that means i am getting AC2 white collectors edition for $85.95. Im sure the standard edition of AC2 will be $89 on release day.
