not sure if anyone is still following this, but:
shot off my 3rd nastygram to magshop last wednesday (as i said above). this time, i CC'd various email addresses i found in the Ultimate Nintendo magazine - i figured the publisher should know what what's going on.

a few hours later, got a reply from the receptionist at derwent howard, apologising profusely, and offering to send another game.

this morning, in my PO Box, fire emblem DS - sent by registered post! essentially a $70rrp game, for $25!

i'm very happy with derwent howard, but i won't use magshop again. if i want to subscribe i'll go to dh direct.

just got my 3rd ultimate nintendo magazine. still no metal slug 7.
this is ****. i could have imported the game from play-asia 5 times over by now.
*goes to shoot off another annoyed email*

BumblyBee, that parcel you received - is it meant to be an 'apologies, your game is still coming' pack, or a 'we can't get your game, here's some stuff instead' pack?

not that i have an iphone,
but i wonder if the quality of the screen would be good enough that you could hold the iphone up for scanning (instead of printing them out)

Article on Metal Slug 7 on Wikipedia was edited on 16 Jan 09, EU release date is now 27 Feb 09.
We might have quite a wait on our hands...

i signed up for this deal back in november, received my first issue 15/01, wrote them an email about the free game. response is below (20/01):
