You can still use Twitter, the exact search I am currently using is:
from: EconomicalGamer OR ecogamer -from:ecogamer

Or you can just do #ecogamer, but you might not necessarily get the exact same as what is on the website.

hey Anthony, i think you need to change the query to include posts that include @ecogamer and @economicalgamer - or people on twitter won't be able to reply to people using the site.

LOL, no, EG doesn't pay the bills. Not even Anthony is fulltime here. We just find time whenever we can.

You may have noticed that EcoGamer has previously ran a "Gamers" night for its members that was Xbox 360 exclusive and is planning upcoming events as well. This is great if you have an Xbox 360 [and presumably enjoy paying for access to online gaming servers ;P) but for the rest of us with the PS3's, we're left out in the cold.

LOL, just wanted to jump in with a quick comment - the main reasons that EG only run 360-Gamers-Nights:

1 - Setting up a gaming party w/randoms is a LOT easier on XBL than PSN;
2 - I think I may be the only EG staff member who owns a PS3 (beyond that, I don't own a 360, so I'm not even involved in the 360-nights);
3 - I play significantly more single-player games than multiplayer;
4 - The multiplayer games I play tend not to be the same ones everyone else plays.

In summary, it's partially my fault. Sorry.

Hence, I unofficially endorse the creation of this Unofficial PS3 Gamer Night thread. Go forth and pwn.

To post onto the shoutbox from my twitter account, do i start my tweet with @ecogamer or #ecogamer

ecogamer anywhere in a tweet will get picked up by the shoutbox, actually.

but there are a few behaviours with twitter that you should be aware of:

* using #ecogamer will make it easier to search for tweets posted from the main site (since the main site forces the user to add #ecogamer to the tweet)

* using @ecogamer will create a link to the main Ecogamer twitter account. anyone who's following your twitter account will be able to click through to it. advertising - yay!

* using @ecogamer at the start of your tweet will do the same as above, but people who are following your twitter account will only see the tweet if they are also following the Ecogamer twitter account. good if you have followers that you don't want to spam with ecogamer-related posts.
