Portal 2.
No introduction required. We all will be buying this thing on April 21. But of course, as EcoGamers we want it cheap, and with all the preorder bonuses we can get!

The handheld console we've all been dying to see in person ("seriously, does it really work?") - the Nintendo 3DS - will be out on March 31, for RRP $349.95.

Sony's entry into the motion control space - PlayStation Move - is due to hit Australia on September 16th. There will be many bundles and combinations available for purchase depending on what you already own and what you're interested in.

Global Defence Force - anyone heard of that one?  There is actually three of those. Two on PS2 and one on x360. one of the PS2 ones was actually a "tactics" game and imo not that great. three, if you count monster attack. i wouldn't also - picked up GDF tactics in a kmart sale for $1! hasn't seen the inside of a console yet. Good, but not a lost Gem. I never played the other PS2 one and am spewin, cos the x360 sequel is one of my favorite Beer and Mates games of all time. it is absoutely a lost gem, and i can forgive you for not thinking so because you haven't played it. GDF is much superior (in gameplay) to it's 360 sequel EDF2017. I am a bit of a D3 whore. I am always actively trying to find their games translated to english. Cos they are the absolute pinnacle of "cheap fun" when it comes to gaming.
i went on a buying spree of simple series games a while back. Zombie v Ambulance (zombie virus), Zombie Hunters (onechanbara series), the list goes on... |

aaaah. completely missed this thread. only popped up on my radar because of a spammer post. who'd have thought they'd be useful? commenting on other's, i highly concur with the following recommendations: Valkyria Chronices, Beyond Good + Evil, Okami, Half-Minute Hero, ICO and to those, naturally i have to add: Shadow of the Colossus, Global Defence Force - anyone heard of that one? thought i'd really love WET. the controls and gameplay were just too awkward. awesome grindhouse still couldn't save it. |

Does this game really need an introduction? The last of Blizzard's three IPs to get a sequel, StarCraft II will finally be released at midnight on the night of 26 July.
