1. You won't find GOW anywhere for $80
2. Have fun running around looking for cheap GOW stock.
3. Assuming you use your credit to get another GOW at eb games, the manager will likely refuse you after a couple of times of you trading and making $26.95 and getting GOW back.
4. You won't be able to do it 6 x trades in 1 hour because say you go to 2 diff stores in the 1 hour, they will refuse you after a couple times max. Many stores now adhere to the 1 per day max.
5. Eb games have very similarly priced console only prices compared to other stores. Eb games do not match bundles.
6. Depending on what state you are in, you may not get a gift card, hence having credit scattered in many different stores.

Using a trade 3 at jbhifi and get modern warfare 2 trade at eb method, I got today:

PS3 120 GB with GTA4
Uncharted 1 & 2
Extra Controller
Singstar Wireless Mics
Fully paid off PlayTV preorder
Bluetooth remote
4 x xbox 360 games (from random $20 credits here and there at diff stores, all on exclusion list)
$10 left on a gift card

So, I turned my $250 trade bait outlay into close to 1 grand of merchandise (I started accumulating credit when the bigw sale started and today was the end of my efforts)

Must say i;m quite happy with my effort

yeh its abit weird those edge cards, my local eb in Canberra would not sell/renew my expired edge card but today the eb I was at was more than happy to sell/give me a new one

I highly doubt you got 15 trade bait games at $10 a pop, even with some left overs from a big w sale, there aren't many $10 trade bait games out there (even on ebay there isn't)

so your $150 for trade bait would have been more like $170-200

(not that it matters too much considering you ultimately got like $475 credit for the bait)

its bizarre though, why are these people on this website if they object to people taking advantage of the system - isn't that half of what this website is about?

Can someone who works at eb games or who knows the policy 100% please confirm the new directive. I've heard all sorts of things from not being able to get a gift card to not being able to put the credit on preorders and having to use it on the spot etc etc

You might get the RRP back, it depends on the value they put on the receipt. In any case, if you did it 6 times at the same store in 1 hit, they'd probably call the manager and depending on if they were a pain, they might say no...
