It's not a scam when they offer it? It's just a "loop hole"
But it would be hella annoying if you had that much "EB Credit" 10 games would cost you say $680 from BigW, then with EB Trade in you'll get $957 in credit.
So a profit of $277. But what are you going to spend it on? It's not like you can take it out in cash. This is assuming you purely do this for a profit and do not care about games.
Damm Just read that there is another loophole:
"In all states and territories except for NSW, ACT and WA, you can get cash for your games instead. You will get more value if you trade for store credit, but trading for cash is another option for you."
"its possible to have just $54 investment, get 3 games from eb, go to jb get odst, go back to eb and trade odst for $95.70, get 3 games again, $41.70 left, jb again, get odst, trade it to eb thats $41.70, so do it a few more times, till you get to around $375 credit, it should be more than enough to get those 4 games lol..."
Answer to the OP: Yes to all states except NSW, and they will only give you the value of the original game trades. They will give you the value of the new game if they are new or dont know how it works.
Total time involved: 50 mins (including hunting all the games at EB).
Are you guys serious you never thought of this?
Not bad not bad. Still doesnt explain the T&C's.
Quote
"Maximum 2 copies of any particular title." AND "We only trade in games towards other product in store - we do not trade in for cash. Further to this our NSW stores do not trade in towards any form of store credit (Gift Vouchers or otherwise)." AND "No multiples of same game are accepted"
I guess that particular employee didnt know much and just did it. Lucky I guess for you.
