PS3 Prestiege Edition = $198 @ EBgames.com.au

http://ebgames.com.au/ps3-148219-Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-2-Prestige-Edition-PlayStation-3

I preordered mine on ebay for about $67, granted its from HK... but they already shipped it Smiley... hopefully it arrives on time or earlier.

What $67 pre-order for the Prestige Edition? wtf?! That's cheaper than the normal editions.! o.o

9  Discussion Categories / Non-Gaming / Re: So how does the Trade system at JB HI-FI work? on: October 06, 2009, 10:12:48 PM
Is there a limit to how many games you can trade??

"Maximum 2 copies of any particular title." ? Means? Max 2 games?

Wonder if it's possible to keep tradeing and getting credit back to a tune of say $1000 then using that credit to buy a LCD TV or something?

It's not a scam when they offer it? It's just a "loop hole"

But it would be hella annoying if you had that much "EB Credit"
10 games would cost you say $680 from BigW, then with EB Trade in you'll get $957 in credit.

So a profit of $277. But what are you going to spend it on? It's not like you can take it out in cash. This is assuming you purely do this for a profit and do not care about games.

Damm Just read that there is another loophole:

"In all states and territories except for NSW, ACT and WA, you can get cash for your games instead. You will get more value if you trade for store credit, but trading for cash is another option for you."

Lucky for you if you arent in NSW, ACT, WA!

quoted:

"its possible to have just $54 investment, get 3 games from eb, go to jb get odst, go back to eb and trade odst for $95.70, get 3 games again, $41.70 left, jb again, get odst, trade it to eb thats $41.70, so do it a few more times, till you get to around $375 credit, it should be more than enough to get those 4 games lol..."

loll

14  Discussion Categories / Gaming / Re: JB Trade 3 and get a Gift Card? on: September 12, 2009, 09:36:56 PM
Answer to the OP: Yes to all states except NSW, and they will only give you the value of the original game trades. They will give you the value of the new game if they are new or dont know how it works.

Read their Trade in Disclaimer and see for yourself:
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/disclaimers/

Their T&C's are bit ambiguous if you ask me, and not all JB's follow the same policy, it really depends on the person serving you.

Total time involved: 50 mins (including hunting all the games at EB).

Are you guys serious you never thought of this?

Not bad not bad. Still doesnt explain the T&C's.

Quote
"Maximum 2 copies of any particular title."
AND
"We only trade in games towards other product in store - we do not trade in for cash. Further to this our NSW stores do not trade in towards any form of store credit (Gift Vouchers or otherwise)."
AND
"No multiples of same game are accepted"

I guess that particular employee didnt know much and just did it. Lucky I guess for you.

Havent thought of this? No way!?  Wink
