Normally at Economical Gamer, we stick to what we do well - games bargains - and don't report on much else. However, recent circumstances push us to publish this important news. The Attorney-General's Department have released their long-awaited discussion paper on the introduction of an R18+ classification for games. This document requests submissions from the public. Drafting a submission may sound like a lot of effort, but it's not. There is a template document available on the website, all you need to do is fill in your details, and indicate your opinion regarding several statements already pre-filled for you. There is also a comments section at the bottom for an extended response. R18+ classification is an issue that affects all gamers, and I would strongly suggest that as many of you as possible make a submission, and get your voice heard. The statements they ask you to assess are quite broad - on this note, I would guess that numbers of responses are what's going to count in this consultation. Please, take 5 minutes to make a submission. Forward the link around to friends and family. The Attorney-General's Department have given us an opportunity to voice our opinion, let's not waste it.
