A little while ago we asked readers to send in their ideas for new perks that they would like added in the popular online shooter. We gave away one Xbox 360 and one PS3 copy of the game to two lucky entrants.

Xbox 360 Winner:

monkey_dude

Sleep with the fishes - When you shoot someone they are unable to jump (Cement Boots).

 

Playstation 3 Winner:

RKazza

Paratrooper - Allows the player to paradrop from the sky, and land anywhere on the map, like on top of a building upon spawn. Disadvantage is that you stick out like sore thumb, and may be shot, although you are able to shoot back while parachuting.

 

 

jiayijames (Xbox 360 entry): Playing Dead (Defensive)

This perk would allow player to “play dead”. This is different than laying prone.

With this perk enabled, players can flop to the ground unarmed and without their tag being shown on screen. Getting up will not be silent or very fast which makes this more of a defensive perk rather than a sneaky offensive one.

 

 

Mr A (Xbox 360 entry): False Flag

  • Wear enemy colours(a.k.a enemy skin)
  • When severely injured the enemy team colours(skin) will wear off and back to team colours(a.k.a team skin)
  • Player will still be detected as enemy by UAV radar/SitRep/Claymores/harriers/any helicopters
  • Player will be detected by cross hairs(by turning red) in normal MP modes
  • In hardcore MP modes own team members will not be able to ID the false flag player as their own. Only after killing the player(with false flag) the own team members will be able to know and this  will result in a friendly Fire kill.
  • This perk will be turned off for Standard DM's. Only used in team based MP modes.

False Flag Pro*

  • Wear enemy colours(a.k.a enemy skin)
  • When severely injured the enemy skin will not wear off
  • Player will not be detected as enemy by UAV radar/SitRep/Claymore/harriers/any helicopters
  • Player will not be detected by cross hairs(by turning red) in normal MP modes
  • In hardcore MP modes own team will be able to ID player as their own
  • This perk will be turned off for Standard DM's. Only used in team based MP modes.

 

Jem: Owl Eye

Sees the current position of all enemy positions for a few seconds.

 

 

FATPUP:

I woud like to see a perk that is based on the scavenger and when the person picks up the bullets etc, after 20 seconds lets say they are booby trapped and self destruct or it could be activated by proximity to an opposing player.

MatthewV:

I would really like automatic magazines, so when you bust into a room recklessly, your magazine won't stop firing until either their dead or you are dead.  Preferably the former.

 

 

Mr A (PS3 entry): Bat Bomb

  • When severely injured the player(with the perk) automatically passes air(a.k.a farts) which has the same effect of a stun grenade that will render the enemy  & friendly players stunned with distorted visuals for a short duration. The effect is within a short radius of the player.
  • If enemy is situated at arms length distance then it will cause health to go down. Prolonged exposure will cause death. This applies to both enemy & friendly players.

Bat Bomb Pro

  • When severely injured the player(with the perk) automatically passes air(a.k.a farts) which has the same effect of a stun grenade & a flash bang that will render the enemy & friendly players stunned with a white screen where they will not be able to see anything for a short duration. The effect has broader radius than normal bat bomb.
  • If enemy is situated at arms length distance then it will cause death to go down faster than normal bat bomb and cause a quicker death. This applies to both enemy & friendly players
  • Anyone throwing any type of explosive grenades or setting off any c4 or claymore within the radius of the bat bomb pro...will have a Incendiary grenades effect that will effect everyone...including the one who dropped the bat bomb.

 


Sudomiser: Mover And Shaker

Enemy reticles targeting the player begin to shake as the player morphs into a respected figure.

jiayijames (PS3 entry):

I would suggest two perks: one is the ability to use poison gas after a certain number of kills in MP, and then the countering perk naturally being gaining the gas mask. And I think should be a good idea the defensive one of the two (gas mask) should be easier to acquire (less kills requird) than the offensive one, in order to offer good balance.

I think a good perk would be a boost of adrenaline rush. adrenaline rush will make your character move and aim faster and will give more power to your weapon.

My idea isn't very wacky, but I think plausibly based in reality - your PS3 already posts your trophies and the like to Facebook, it's only a matter of time before videogames can captire youtube footage or make tweets about your successes and before you know it you'll be bragging about pwning n00bs with no effort at all!

calibre: Deception

New perk would be called - Deception- when enemy UAV is up, the dot which represents you is placed in a spot which leads to nothing.

Deception pro: when you fire, enemy receives a red dot on the map in the wrong area,
