A couple months ago we had readers send in their creations for our Borderlands Mask Competition. We had some incredible entries and the winners in particular deserve special praise.

I made it look like a bluprint because I was focussed
on how to "design" a mask. I like to keep a safe distance from bad guys so I
made my mask more sniper-centric, but it has features all all the bandits
would find useful etc

Some (brief, nerdy) background to it: Claptrap's
actually a composite of 4 different screenshots of him in an attempt to get the cel-shade lighting right [and as you can see, the tyre still looks a little wrong because there's very few online shots of him head-on with his tyre in frame]. After making the composite, I've fed it through a set of colour-blend filters... why? Because if any of the readers are crazy/bored enough, they can blow up the picture large and print off and it (hopefully) shouldn't de-rez, meaning they can actually, actually make a mask to confuse their pets and annoy their coworkers!
