That's right, three years ago Economical Gamer was set loose onto the world wide web. In keeping with tradition we have a new feature for everyone to enjoy.

Bargain Chat and Twitter:

Economical Gamer has jumped onto the Twitter bandwagon in a big way! One of our most popular features, the Bargain Chat, is now entirely powered by Twitter.

For a community as active and connected as our own it made little sense to continue cramming bargains and discussions into such a small space. Twitter provides users with the flexibility of custom filters, RSS feeds, desktop applications, retweets, historical archives, portability and so much more.

I have set up a dedicated Twitter page on the site where you can read and write tweets from (using your own account or a generic login). You can also submit tweets to our article system, which I hope will become a commonly used feature.

New Domain Name:

Probably not all that exciting but we now have a new domain name. We are now "www.ecogamer.com.au". Due to this domain change everyone will be logged out of their accounts. Not to worry though, just log in again.

We will be keeping our old domains indefinitely so you can continue to use them:

• ecogamer.com.au (new, main domain name)
• ecogamer.com (shorter to write)
• economicalgamer.com (full site name)
• m.ecogamer.com (light weight site for mobiles, ".au" will work as well)

Forum Board Reorganised:

Our forum boards have been revamped based on feedback from members. It should be much clearer now how forum threads should be categoriesd. We also have a new dedicated sub-forum for Coupon Codes, which is for registered Economical Gamer members only.
